NarniaFans have posted the second entry in the official production blog, though apparently its been renumbered to be the "first" blog entry for some reason. Either way, it can be found at NarniaFans, though it doesnt actually contain much if any information we didnt already know before:
Doesn't contain anything we didn't know?!
What about all those details on how the kids are getting to Narnia this time?
SpoilerTo create the effect of the bedroom flooding with water, the production’s mechanical SFX crew, under the direction of veteran movie magician Brian Cox, and working with Barry Robison’s and Ian Gracie’s crack art department and construction crew, duplicated the sound stage bedroom set on an elevated platform which was then dunked into the smaller of Warner Roadshow’s two exterior studio water tanks. The three actors were then instructed to swim out of the bedroom door and windows to the surface.
By the way, it doesn't seem that this is NarniaFans posting these, just that they're reposting the Facebook blog, which can be found on this fan page:

Yes, it is from the Facebook page. There was definitely new info there! The reason it was renumbered is because it's the first blog on a new VDT fan page; the other official fan page is for the Chronicles as a whole, while this one is just for VDT. I read the whole thing and enjoyed it.

Salem posted a quote from a set report in the "Picture in the Bedroom" topic (just a couple threads below this one) which said pretty much the exact same thing, about 2 months ago:
"This week the crew has moved behind the studios to an outdoor tank with a submersive rig to help shoot a scene which involves flooding a room"
Quite a few people have been discussing that since:
Wow, look at that... I didn't see that before. The whole thing was new to me!

Wow! I was wondering when another one of these would come out. We already did know that the bedroom gets filled with water (see icarus's post above). But there are definitely more details now. I really enjoyed reading it. It must have been so exciting to actually act out.
I don't know what happened to the picture, and I'm wondering... I hope that it's still there, considering that there may be a lot of other changes elsewhere. Perhaps they stare at the picture, but it won't actually swallow them up. So many possibilities.
"The third book in C.S. Lewis’ series begins when the two youngest Pevensies, along with their irritating cousin Eustace, are swallowed into a bedroom wall painting, which depicts a ship sailing on the high seas."
The picture is still there, just seems that they don't get swallowed into it. I feel like the blog post is very clear that they swim through the window, and than up to the surface of the ocean.
Intriguing . . .
So they swim into Narnia through windows and such ey? I can take this departure from the book just fine personally - it was always going to be a strange one to interpret onto the screen.
The way I plan on looking at it is it's more Narnia comes through the painting rather than the children going through the painting, into Narnia - if you get my drift. So the ocean pours through the painting and engulfs 'the world', the only thing surviving intact being the room and contents (ie, the kids).
It might sound a little odd, but explaining it in my head helps justify they way they've decided to do it.
All in all, I'm quite looking forward to seeing this scene on screen, it should look amazing - the blog made out like it was pretty fun to film at any rate! x
^^ I agree! this scene is going to be awesome to see on film! I can't wait!
I never could picture them falling into the ocean from above like in the book anyway! this is SO much better!
yay for VotDT!

We've been speculating about how exactly the transition from the bedroom to Narnia will happen - well, the blog made it pretty clear that the room will be filled with sea water and the kids will have to swim out. Not swim through the picture, but rather through the windows of the room... as though the room itself was transported to Narnia and dropped into the sea. I find that VERY interesting! Not even sure what to think at this point
No hold on just a minute...
Read more carefully:
The third book in C.S. Lewis’ series begins when the two youngest Pevensies, along with their irritating cousin Eustace, are swallowed into a bedroom wall painting, which depicts a ship sailing on the high seas.

(Emphasis Added)
The quotation clearly tells us that the book begins with the three children being swallowed into a bedroom wall painting. We can assume that the three children in the movie will be swallowed into a bedroom wall painting as well. If they weren't, then why should they even mention the way it happened in the book?
I'm guessing that the reason they specified that the "book" started this way is probably because the movie is going to start differently, perhaps at the school location that we heard about earlier. There is no reason to believe that the circumstances of how they enter Narnia will be any different.
The reason they dipped the entire set into the tank was to create the effect of water running into the room. This is a visual adaptation of what was tactile and olfactory in the book: the smell of the sea air, the feel of the sea breeze. In fact, the kids even got splashed by the picture before they entered it, didn't they?
It seems that the reason that the actors were instructed to swim through the windows and door was so that the actors could breathe! It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the plot. They weren't directed to swim out the windows in the shot, they were instructed to swim out of the room when the shot was over, presumably.
Even if the room does fill with water, we can safely assume that the children get into Narnia through the picture, -although I hope this effect isn't carried out like the BBC version, with the children shrinking and all. More than likely the room will seem to get larger and more flooded as we see it through the children's perspective. Kind of like the railway tunnel in PC. We as the audience saw the tunnel get stripped away just as the Pevencies saw it happen. Or even LWW for that matter. We as the audience entered Narnia sideways. We moved further behind rows of coats until suddenly the branch of a tree was visible. The shot didn't stay in England, watching Lucy enter, nor did it jump ahead into Narnia waiting until Lucy got there. Rather, we enter Narnia the same way Lucy enters it. From her perspective almost.
I think this is what they are trying to achieve for Dawn Treader. Stylistically it would match well.
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
I'm really excited about this...I know some people were talking about how they were going to do the transition to Narnia and it sounds like they were really creative and did a very good job...And, Yes, Capspian is rescuing them!

I completely agree...It's quite tacky and I am very pleased that it does not appear that they are doing it that way...P.S. Movie Aristotle, happy birthday!

This is one scene I was worried about, I wasn't sure how they were going to go about it but it seems as if it will go just like I imagined. I am so excited for this movie and think it will blow audiences away just as LWW did. I see the room filling with water then the three being swept in through the picture from the water and then Caspian rescuing them. I am feeling very positive for this movie I don't care if they aren't exactly to the book, as long as they get the main story like LWW was. I am going to compare VDT to LWW
After reading some of the comments I am curious about how it was done in the BBC version because I haven't seen all of those... I think I'll go look into them.
Movie Aristotle, great analysis of the blog. I was panicking because it sounded like they would be going through widows and doors to get to Narnia. Now I feel much better.
~DaughterOfEve~, in the BBC's version, they shrink and sort of fly through the picture into the water. Compared to now the special effects aren't great but they did very well considering when they were making VDT and that they didn't have a lot of money. I would definitely recommend watching the BBC versions. I absolutely love them.

^^ BBC's version was really silly.....they kind of shrunk and all of them floated in one tight group and were basicly paced in the water......hardly dramatic!
