I would assume he got it from the $308.5 OS along with the $104.3 from USA/Canada.

According to BOM, the foreign total is still $303,277,000 as of Mar. 27, 2011.

If VDT ends up short of PC by only a small amount, a dollar or two, it would really give us something to laugh about, wouldn't it?

BOM doesn't usually update their weekend figures until at least Tuesday, and even when they do, it will still be aboutu $1.5 million behind Hollywood Reporter. BOM tends to be conservative with their numbers, which of course also means that they will be reporting HR's numbers, but later. In the end, but sources will match... just not yet.

IMDb is still stuck on $409,150,363. None of the other totals have changed either. I don't know how often they update their site, so we can only wait until next week to see what happens. Don't forget that IMDb tends to be more conservative than even BOM, which has Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian at $419.7. IMDb's Prince Caspian total is $418,814,023.

I'd say that VDT would be finishing soon in USA. At least it did better than it could have done.

Correction! As of 10.47 am today, IMDb has updated its VDT total to $412,350,363.

I was doing some analysis of the Japanese box office, and if history is any indication, VDT may soon be on its way out of theaters in Japan. Movies tend to stay in the box office an average of about 8 weeks in Japan. For whatever reason, movies don't last that long in the box office in Japan. Unless a movie is just doing bombastic business ($50 million+) it is probably going to get pulled after week 7 or 8 (even if it's doing reasonably well). VDT is currently entering it's 7th week in Japan. And movies that have done roughly VDT numbers have only grossed $1-$2 more million before finally bowing out of their box office runs. So I'm going to say that VDT finishes with $31 million.. Though I'd rather it make $33 million and beat Golden Compass hehe!

Prince Caspian was 9 weeks in Japan and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe 10 weeks. So let's hope that Voyage Of The Dawn Treader still has 3 more weeks to go.

One thing that VDT does have in its favor is its legs. Most of movies that I noticed that have grossed what VDT is grossing so far were not bringing in $1 million + on it's 6th weekend. So hopefully its closer to 10 weeks than 8 weeks in the box office

I think you're right, CorazonBandido55. VDT has been impressive in Japan; all things considered with the earthquakes and their affects on things. There is a fair chance of VDT lasting another 2-3 weeks more and adding at least a couple of million dollars more to its overall total.

It looks like $415 million is reachable which is $5 million more than my previous final estimate. That would put it at almost 99% of PC's final worldwide total. Better than I had hoped for after it's weak USA opening.

I dont know if many people are aware of this or not... but if dawn treader can pull in another cpl of million in Japan and cross 415.9mill worldwide, that Prince Caspian, and Dawn Treader will be sitting right next to eachother on the all time worldwide chart with PC on number 120 and DT on number 121... just a fun fact! haha

Japan has suffered another earthquake. Most sources are calling this an "aftershock." Japan did in fact suffer earlier aftershocks when the first series of quakes hit.
