Well, BoxOfficeMojo isn't updating, and someone, I forget who, said that Fox is sitting on Australia's numbers until this weekend when the movie is released in the US (Booooo ). However, a few people have kindly posted some official numbers on this site from their various countries so I thought I'd compile them here for everybody to see.
Over the weekend, VDT was number one in Hong Kong. Box office numbers are estimates only due to a lack of official numbers from Thursday Dec 2nd (opening day), but they predict it will be between $1.4-1.6m. Better than PC, not as good as LWW.
adrianzuko also joined the forum to let us know how VDT did in Mexico.
Here in Mexico, VOTDT was released on december 3rd only in 3D and it's already the most seen movie of the weekend. 2D version hits the theaters on friday! btw I loved it!
He went on to report that VDT made about $30,332,672 in pesos there. That equates to about $2,440,967 USD. I don't have comparison numbers for LWW and PC, but even if I did, that's only in 3D theaters so it wouldn't be an accurate comparison anyways. Even so, it still beat out Harry Potter and Tangled, so that's good.
If you find any other official number reports, post 'em here!
Box Office Mojo just put up Narnia's numbers for some locations:
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=narnia3.htm
Ecuador $162,688 12/10/10
Malaysia $475,919 12/9/10
Mexico $2,480,011 12/10/10
Singapore $638,074 12/9/10
Taiwan $357,850 12/4/10
I assume then that most of these are "previews". I wish we had Australia's #s
It could be the 3d #'s. Since Mexico released the 3d version, but not the 2d yet.

Even if attracts the same exact number of people as PC it should still gross more money because it’s in 3D and a lot of theatres charge more for that .

does anyone have the australian box office figures?
I had heard Fox is not releasing Australia's numbers until the 12th...

That probably doesn't mean anything good. I hope that VDT is successful in Australia beause it was filmed there.
What did PC and LWW make in Australia?
I just checked boxofficemojo and LWW made 25 Million and PC made just over half of that with 13 Million.
If VDT can get a 20 Million final gross that would be pretty good.
These numbers kinda worry me. Also how negative all the boxofficemojo.com members are. I think that this one has to get to about $175 domestic for SC to get made, and most of them don't think that that is possible (oh by the way, I've been trying to get an account to that for ages but for some reason I never get the validation email). I think that most of those users just hate Narnia because they are either hate fantasy or are crazy about Harry Potter and don't want to see a repeat of 2005 (I am still holding out hope that this will happen again).
I hope that this one makes $200 M, but I'd be very happy for $175 M!
Lets go SC!
These reports start to get me worried. I despertly want the movie to do good so the series to continue, but i'm not holding my breath. I like it though that the numbers are higher (in general) then PC, that is a good thing! Unfortunately, I have to agree with PeterCharn, that can't be a good thing on holding back the numbers, it sounds like Fox doesn't want to influence American audiences with poor numbers. Lets hope that's not the case.

To be fair people, it hasn't been released in much of the world yet. Be patient. Good things come to those who wait.

Doctor Who - Season 11
I've kind of had the expectation for a while that we won't see a huge opening weekend due to Prince Caspian... more important will be how it does in consecutive weekends after word of mouth has gotten out. Anyone would rather have box office legs than a big opening weekend.

As of Dec 5th-> Foreign Total $4,800,000. Is that good or bad? Or is it too early yet ?

Its too early. After this next 14 days we will have a good idea of whether or not SC is going to be greenlit because Narnia is being released in 59 countries around the world this weekend, include North America (US and Canada) which is the largest single market in the world. IF it fails to make a large splash soon, it means the end of Narnia.
Gulp! Oh I so wish I could see it this weekend... Hopefully I'll be able to next weekend. 2 weeks before we have any idea... I don't know if I can wait that long...

I hope it does great and the remaining ones get made. I would hate to see them go through all that work to do 3 of them then stop.
