I don't see many reasons to complain about this recent poster (the one that was just posted on the front page). At least it looks better designed than the previous advertisements. And to include a good view of the Dawn Treader on one of the posters was long overdue.
I just wish they would lose Reepicheep on the logo. Apparently Fox thinks the "cute" talking mouse will attract more of an audience.
Mary Jane: You know, you're taller than you look.
Peter: I hunch.
Mary Jane: Don't.
The new banner on the front page is very similar to the poster I spotted the other day.
Pictures please.
By the way, in case you all didn't catch the update to the news story a few days ago, we did figure out what those three images are that are being talked about in the first post. They're promotional images, but not (at least not yet) posters. All that means is that they'll use the main image (Aslan, Reep, DT) and switch up the backgrounds and such to use on various promotional pieces. Websites, posters, etc. There are some really good examples of that from LWW in our gallery here.
I'm still seething a bit that they let an unfinished Dawn Treader go out on marketing. I'm pretty sure that pic of Reep was the first image we ever saw from PC, Aslan's definitely from PC.... Ah well.
As far as the new banner goes, it doesn't do much for me aside from the fact it's nice to see more advertising for VDT. Still hoping for a poster based off of this image here though without any/many embellishments.
I really wish I could get pictures for you guys, but the theatre is a decent distance from my house and I don't think I could convince anyone how important it is to drive there. Sorry.
I like the one that we have pictures of in the new news story. It's a solid piece and gives the public a first real glimpse of the DT not just a small image in the lion's eye.
I just found the second banner that we got shots of. This one. Not very different, but interesting.
I have to say, I rather like this. Reep's not on the logo (though he is just off floating on some other words). No terribly massive and bold 3D shouting at you. The sail's coloring is a little off (and still flipped), but I'll give them a bit of leniency for now. Having the full ship on there, in a regular poster shape, is pretty nice, imo.

is the poster I spotted.
Ahh...the water looks so refreshing.
"Are you sure you're eighteen?"
"Why? Do I look older?"
I think it's the best poster yet.
