Hi everyone ... The Gold Coast Bulletin has new pics from the set of Voyage of the Dawn Treader:http://tools.goldcoast.com.au/photo-gallery/photo_gallery_popup_preview.php?splash=1&category_id=8605&group_id=1
Thanks very much for that link . The two most interesting things from that photo gallery:
1. Confirmation that there are 3 different actors wearing at least 2 different Minotaur suits. *sigh*. It looks possible that one guy may be taking it in turns to stand in for Shane Rangi, so whilst we may be spared the trauma of 3 minotaurs, it looks like we are going to have to endure 2 of them at least.
2. At better look at Rhince in costume. And he continues to look more and more like a Lone Island's Blacksmith, rather than the ships first mate. No idea what is going on with Rhince at all. (see Rhince Topic in C&C Forum: http://www.narniaweb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=405)
And the two most interesting quotes from the associated article:
http://www.goldcoast.com.au/article/2009/09/25/140751_more-gold-coast-gig-guide.html
"It will be put back together inside one of the stages because we need it for sequences that will have it surrounded by a blue screen. "We still have to shoot a storm sequence and an attack sequence with it.
I'd assume the "attack sequence" is the Sea Monster, since we havent seen that being filmed yet (and that would probably require extensive blue screen work), and the "Storm" is the Storm! I think a few people (myself included) perhaps thought the Storm would be one of the scenes to get axed, or at least merged in with something elsewhere, so its good to see its going to be in the movie.
"Then what happens to it after filming entirely? Well, that's the million-dollar question. I'll say one thing: it won't be scrapped."
Hooray for not scrapping it! No clues as to what they will do with it, but its good to know its not just going to sit on the scrap heap. If Disney were still involved, it would of made terrific sense to make the boat a permanent attraction at one of their theme parks, but who knows now.... There is a theme park at Warner Roadshow/Movie World studios of course .
Wow. Good job. I love the ladder up the Dawn Treader's dragon neck! (Photo 4) First time I've noticed it.
Is that the MLGael in photo 5? With Lucy under the umbrella!? When were these taken?
That is good news about both the filming and the fate of the DT. I'd love to go aboard one day!

Yeah, i think it is the little girl and Lucy is wearing different clothes. This suggests to me that she is in more then one scene.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
