ABC is currently airing PC. They showed the extended version of LWW earlier... and I'm pretty sure the version they're airing of PC is slightly extended as well :D

(The sandwich dialogue was deleted in the original, no? As was viewing then poking a hole through the door to the treasure chamber from the inside?) I'm not positive about it being extended, but it's definitely PC.

Edit: Yes it was!!!! I'm positive...now... *will make note of this elsewhere

Advertising for the LWW Stage Show seems to have stepped up a gear as we head into Summer - saw loads of bus side adverts for it today, as well as the smaller posters that have been up in train stations and the like for a while. :)

Now, this was actually a few months ago, but this still came to me as a surprise.

As my family walked in, I looked at the DVDs that were sitting up front. I turned my head a bit more, and I saw a rather large billboard advertising the VDT DVD even though it had been up for some time. I just thought that was kind of weird. Most advertising for DVDs like that don't last for more than a month at most.

Oh, ENJOY the Narnia Exhibition!!! I've been twice, and it's such fun! Have you ever gone before? After you've gone, would you post here some of your favorite props that they had? The Narnia Exhibition is just...such amazing fun.

I love coming on here and reading what all the Narnia sightings have been lately!! The bus for the play is pretty cool (as are all of the sightings!!!)...you can't get much louder or bigger than a double-decker bus to advertize Narnia!

I expect a London double-decker advertising the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is thrilling. :) But would a Sydney tram advertising the Narnia exhibition be some sort of match, as below?

We did enjoy ourselves, especially as it was through the week, there wasn't the holidaying crowd of children around which made the HP exhibition harder to see, and also as members of the Powerhouse Museum we got in for nothing. :D

The exhibition is not as big as the earlier Harry Potter exhibition that finished at Easter. It takes up roughly the same space, or slightly less. The exhibits were more interactive and informative and there were screens playing bits of the two Narnia films included. (Not VDT). There was a little display enabling people to design their own shield. Children with the aid of Museum staff could fire off a catapult (or is it a trebuchet?) and I really loved Susan's statue and treasure chest in one corner of the room. You could get a cold bottom sitting on the White Witch's throne, tne frozen waterfall was cold on the coldest morning so far this winter, :-$ and there were stone statues around.

We entered through wardrobe, lined each side with racks of furs and exited past one of those Narnian royal chairs which were more ornate than the Royal throne at Buckingham Palace. I liked seeing the White Witch's dress, Tumnus's little cave, the Beaver, King Miraz, himself, and a model of his castle. :) But my favourite model of them all was a large wall map with buttons you could push and lights would show where all the important LWW & PC places were. I really would have liked a map of Narnia as a souvenir. :(

Unfortunately we weren't supposed to take pictures, and there weren't any catalogues for sale to compensate. Apart from some hideously expensive Narnia models there, plus editions of the Narnia septology, there was nothing to see, not even postcards. I did ask the Cashier why not, and she said it was because it was more than 3 years since PC came out, and there wouldn't be any more souvenirs available until late 2014, when the next movie will start- her words. /:)

Lol, she hasn't read the news then, I take it...

Do you know how the catapult was operated? Was it trebuchet-style with a counterweight being used as the thrust or was it pulled back like an arrow on a string? Just curious- we made a water balloon catapult once for a science project... it was fun.

That train sure is neat!

Lol, she hasn't read the news then, I take it...

That was what I thought, so I politely asked the lady how she knew that? After all, I am just a well-behaved little old lady kindly accompanying her pensioner husband when I am out, well aren't I? /:) I am not Wagga there. =)) So she explained that in getting the souvenirs that were on display, such as models of the White Witch, she personally had to ring around the world, in particular to the United States, something not so easy from Sydney, but which is part of her job to do, not only for Narnia, but for other exhibitions that are shown at the Powerhouse Museum. She repeated that the next movie was due to start in late 2014 " to be finished eighteen months later" - again her words.

I have learned that the company which brought us the Narnia Exhibition is the same company that earlier got us the hugely successful Harry Potter Exibition last Christmas. I wasn't sure which startled me more: her statement or the idea that someone like her, in charge of the Museum's souvenir shop, wouldn't be aware of the latest Narnia news. :-

Do you know how the catapult was operated? Was it trebuchet-style with a counterweight being used as the thrust or was it pulled back like an arrow on a string? Just curious- we made a water balloon catapult once for a science project... it was fun.

The man was using strings, not counterweights. There were some small boys with their mum, off school for some reason, or maybe they were stragglers from the school excursion I saw in the downstairs cafeteria. The museum attendant was getting the children to press a lever when he told them, after he had wound up another part of the catapult. When the boys let go, the catapult was set in action and the balls went into a net on the opposite wall.

That train sure is neat!

Thank you, on behalf of Sydney. :D But it isn't a train, since it runs along the street. It is light rail, that is to say, it is a tramway which links Sydney's Central Station to Darling Harbour and beyond to a suburb called Lilyfield. W4J, if he has ever been to Sydney, might even recognise where the tram was, outside Paddy's Markets.

One thing I never forgot is when LWW was first coming out, there was Narnia stuff everywhere.

In the cards section of Target, I found a card for each of the Pevensies.

And what was especially cool was that, on the back of Lunchables, there were big screenshots from the movie. :)

I am going to see it in August when I visit Sydney - I had already booked for a short holiday there, and then discovered the exhibition! Happy chance!

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Haha, Joe, very funny. :p

On the Disney Channel cartoon Phineas and Ferb, one day, I got very excited to see a character walk through a wardrobe full of old coats and such, only to enter a room filled with snow falling everywhere. Looks like Disney kind of misses the Narnia franchise. :p

They also had a LWW-themed episode of Doctor Who not too long ago. It was called The Doctor, The Widow, and The Wardrobe.

It's funny that shows keep on making episodes based on LWW, even when it's some other Narnia movie that has last come out. I guess LWW will always be the most well-known.

Whoa waggawerewolf27, that is sooo awesome!!! Wow, I am speechless!!!

I remember quite a way back, before Prince Caspian came out, I was at my grandma's place and the TV was playing in the backround. I wandered into the room and to my surprise I see Andrew Adams! I grabbed the remote and made it louder, and to my surprise there, on Russian TV was promo for PC. It had interviews with all the actors and clips from the movie. All together it was around 15 min. long. I was speechless!
