I’ve been wanting to create this thread for a long time, and I’m only just now getting around to it. I’m a little scared of starting a thread because I’m afraid I’ll post it in the wrong spot or break one of the rules or something, so if this is out of place, just let me know, and I’m really sorry in advance if it is!

Okay, if you’re like me, you always get really excited when you see the Narnia books or movies advertised in random, or not so random, places. So, I was wondering where ya’ll have seen them too:
For example,
• Red Box at the Grocery Store: Around the time that VDT came out on DVD, I saw the small picture of VDT in the Red Box display thingy...
• Verizon TV Advertisement: (This is my personal favorite right now) I don’t watch TV, but I was somewhere last week that had a TV, and there was an advertisement for Verizon’s services. They were advertising something about HD videos, and guess what they used?....you guessed it! VDT. I really got really super excited. I wanted to yell: Yes! There’s Edmund! Go Lucy!”

Okay, those are only two right now (I’ve seen more, but...they’re not coming to mind right now) but you get the idea. It can be a recent or past sighting. I know that I even, when in a big city or something, keep my eyes peeled for anything Narnian...I know, it’s crazy, but sometimes I’m rewarded! =)

I’d love to hear where you’ve sighted Narnian specimens as well!!!

I don't always get excited when I see Narnia books or movies, especially since I often see them at our library and book stores.

But around the time VDT was nearing release in theaters, I would get so excited to see the ads playing on TV, I would sit through bad cartoons just to watch the glorious(and not so glorious) TV spots. :p I remember on December 10, the day of release, I woke up to an ad playing in our living room on Fox that had "There's a Place For Us" in it.

Similar was the case when it came out on DVD. I didn't see as many ads on TV, but when I went to the store a few days after I got my DVD copy, I just had a Narnia geek moment when I stopped and stared at all of the copies of the Blu-Ray and DVDs.

So today, I was bored and was watching an episode of a fairly new show called Hart of Dixie. This episode had a turtle race and one of the turtle's was named Prince Caspian! I was totally surprised to hear that name!

There are these commercials that just encourage children to read and sort of explore the world through books. And there is one for the LWW and another for PC. It is exciting that they used those books of all the books they could have used to try and encourage children to read. The LWW one is the best. It shows Lucy coming into Narnia for the first time and then at the end the shot from above with the camera facing down on Lucy and Tumnus walking under his umbrella in the snow, arm in arm. One of the best shots in the entire film. I love that they use the films to try to encourage children to read.

There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.

On Sunday my Pastor was explaining good Christian Christmas gifts to give people. He was listing off books and I was feeling kind of insulted that he hadn't mentioned anything by C.S. Lewis so as he was listing them off I said, "C.S. Lewis..." and then my pastor added The Chronicles of Narnia right after I said that! It made me happy that he mentioned how good the books are, especially because he said it right after I said it under my breath.

This LWW cartoon made me smile.

I always get excited too when I see something Narnian while going about my day. It always makes me happy. I can't really remember many, even though I know there are many instances, but here are a few:

• I was at the mall, way back when PC was just coming out and I saw someone carrying a Disney bag with the characters from PC on it. I immediately knew I had to have one too. :p

• When I was driving down the highway and there was a huge billboard with Aslan on it! I was really surprised and excited! :)

...And last of all, I remember the day when I first heard that they were making LWW into a movie. I was walking through the bookstore, and I saw one of the big books, the one with all the Chronicles in one, lying on a table. It had a big sticker on it that said "A Major Motion Picture: 2005"! I practically shouted with joy! I still remember people looking at me! ;))

Oh, and that cartoon really is cute, Adeona! :)

Those are all so cool, everyone!

I finally remembered another one, which wasn't so breathtaking, but it did make the shopping trip exciting:
I was a the grocery store, and they have this one little section for kids books, and they had both "Step into Reading" books for VDT...It made me so excited. I just glanced over and there were some of my favorite people (or characters, I should say) staring back at me on the front of the covers. I must have looked kinda crazy standing there looking at this book with a look of ecstasy on my face. Oh well. I don't care. I was having a stupendous time looking through them. :D

I go on Failblog frequently. It's one of the cheezeburger sites and it has Facebook fails: the stupid stuff that people actually say on Facebook and other social media sites.

Anyway, so I was on there tonight and there were a couple twitpics with captions. In the background of one of them was an LWW poster, I think. It could be VoDT but I'm not sure. I'm on my itouch so it's kind of hard to see. I'm pretty sure it's LWW though. Here's the link if you want to see it. The post itself is pretty dumb though. I'm not sure what's supposed to be all that funny about it.

That would be the VotDT teaser poster.

@Narnian_at_heart Yes, Reepi is right about the poster. And the person in the video is Simon Pegg, the person who was recast as the voice of Reepicheep.

I always get SO excited what I see anything that has to do with advertising the Narnia movies!!! For example, when PC came out, they had this thing that Timotei shampoos had coupons on them and if you got the right coupon you could get a PC towel, pillow, something else (I think a toothbrush or something) or a trip to the Czech Republic where they filmed parts of the movie. Basically, all advertising the movie! I didn't get a coupon :(( but I did see the advertisements of it in the subway and it just got me so excited!!!
A friend of mine also had LWW toothbrushes, and when I saw them, I was like "WHAAA!! You have NARNIA toothbrushes??? TOO COOL!!!"
Anyways, all that to say, anything Narnian makes me go crazy!! :)

Oh, and seeing LWW advertised in the movie theaters was the most amazing feeling in the whole world! I have never felt that same rush of adrenaline, awe, and wonder ever since!!
