Kitchen knife? What is going on at the lone islands?
An epic battle, of course
And I can't believe Narnia.com is still using the blatantly stolen character bios and for some reason weren't able to address this little problem yet.

I was going with the theory that Eustace is actually sold into slavery after all and put to work peeling potatoes and slicing carrots.
Anyone know where today's treasure can be found?
An epic battle, of course. So Eustace is going to go after someone with a kitchen knife? That could be enjoyable...
I agree though it does look like there is still the possibility that Eustace is captured and sold into slavery since he seems to be wondering around by himself a little bit.

I'd also be interested to know who drew some of the location maps that appear on WikiNarnia, and what sources they used to draw them, as the outlines of the islands on Narnia.com match exactly with the maps seen on WikiNarnia (see Lone Islands for example), and yet as far as i can tell there isn't a single source in the book which could lead someone to draw such identical maps?
The Pauline Baynes map for example has the three Lone Islands in a completely different configuration, with Avra on the top, and Felimath and Doorn beneath it. http://www.awesomestories.com/images/us ... b1aafa.jpg
I don't think we can be sure that that photo of Eustace is actually from a scene on the Lone Islands - can we? I doubt it's the Dufflepud Island, because there he is wearing his "Pullover" vest. He is still in his English clothes so it's almost definitely before his undragoning, but other than that - ? He could even be on board the Dawn Treader, could not he? Any reasons why this must be Lone Islands?
That kitchen knife is fascinating!

Nicely pointed out Adeona! Didn't even notice, but you're right. Eustace is wearing his vest in England, on the Lone Island set photos, and the Dufflepud shot in the trailer. The only time we've seen him without it is.... in this picture.

makes me wonder
Don't they sit down to a meal at Corakin's Island? Surely they would use a kitchen knife to cut the bread or cheese or fruit.
why would Eustace have it? him and a knife - a he can only be up to no good

Actually, I'm pretty sure some spy photos of the Cleveland Point DT set show him without it. *goes off to look*
Yes, this scene with a minotaur, at least. It is the only scene I could find, though.

Yup, just above Felimath. Right in the middle of the grid square that bears the word segment "lands" from "Lone islands". Someone on the Facebook Narnia page said something about the treasure being 'just north of Gillimath', and I sort of guessed he meant Felimath. When I checked it, sure enough, it was there.
I love those extracted backgrounds, especially the Dawn Treader from the main page. Ever since they updated Narnia.com and I first saw that photo of the Dawn Treader, I wanted so bad to put it as my desktop. Now I can (and did)! Although on my other computer i still have one of the first spy photos of the partly-completed Dawn Treader as my background, just because it's been there soooo long and I grew attached to it.
EDIT: I just saw the pictures on the Media page, and... what in the world??? One of them (right here http://www.narnia.com/us/#/media/images/4601611911) is a fan-made poster for VDT, with pictures from the previous films and other movies all photoshopped together. Why would they put that on their official page? Seems very unprofessional.

I finally was able to see the pics on the website. That's so weird most of the photos seem to be unprofessionally taken. Also, I finally found the treasure but didn't refresh my page so I don't appear to have gotten any points. I logged out and logged back in to try again, but nothing. I must admit to being a little annoyed.

In the film the Dufflepud island will be before the undragoning because Eustace is wearing his English clothes. It is possible that the Duffleput island and the Lone islands are the same.

I got nice big clear copies thanks to Telmar Pictures, including an un-watermarked Coriakin's Library! I have uploaded them to the photo gallery here.
Bother Eustace: wow! that is odd! why would they have all those fan pictures on narnia.com? hmmm.....

Reepi, when you post material on a public site on the internet, the material becomes public property. I understand that you and others posted information on Wiki about Narnia (where did you get it originally?)
Narnia.com has the right to use information from Wiki, just as you or I do.
I think you are going to have to let this matter rest.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
I'd agree with Coracle and say that by posting information to a wiki site you effectively lose any personal ownership of the material, and thus don't have much basis for a complaint in that regards.
However, i would still argue that the way they have used the material seems sloppy, unprofessional and altogether very misleading, as all the biographies are completely based on the books, they contain information not directly related to VDT, and just generally gives a false impression about the content of the movie and its relative accuracy to the book.
The official facebook page has added a "Site Feedback" discussion thread to their page to allow users to provide feedback on the Narnia.com website - i'd perhaps recommend you post something there, though i would perhaps focus more on their inappropriate use of the material, rather than any personal claim to ownership of the material.
