So much for going to bed after the trailer excitement....
Anyhoo... Narnia.com has updated. It's actually a really cool website now instead of just the logo with sparklies.
I have issues with the Narnia.com site.
And not technical ones.
For one the Plot repeats twice.
The Character bios have been copied word for word from wiki.narnia.com, which I find funny as it means something I wrote officially made it onto a official narnia site
I never expected after all the fuss that now it's the other way and Fox "steals" from me
I think much of it is placeholder information Reepi - click on the Dawn Treader page, it seems to be just the same paragraph, oddly in latin (?) over and over again. lol
But a very nice looking site there. If the teaser trailer left me a bit doubtful about the way certain things look, that image of the Dawn Treader on the front page looks absolutely magnificent! Very pleased with that.
Well, the latin text is a standard placeholder for web design.
Now how would I go to immediately take the whole site down for posting "illegaly obtained material"?
I cannot remember being asked to use my texts, and certainly did not give any written permission to them to freely use them.
Honestly. You may have written the character profiles but Lewis' works aren't originally yours to profit from. Don't go looking to take anyone down. Maybe just send a friendly email to them about your concerns.

Actually, Reepi is entitled to those character descriptions.
A bit of an unprofessional move on behalf of the website makers.
Okay, maybe he/she is but it's ridiculous to think one can get Fox to take down the official VDT website. They're not going to do that. Send an email asking them to take it down. They can put up their own descriptions and everyone will be happy.

Reepi wrote those character descriptions? sorry but they remind me of some of the bits I have read in some of the editions' intros, especially the mistake of giving spoilers - "this character will die in book X along with everyone else"
- seems unwise if you want people to buy and read the others.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Never said I wrote them all alone.
They were just copied word for word from wikiNarnia (narnia.wikia.com), some parts are by me
Now I'm unsure wether to contact the FBI or the Army to settle this matter.
Are you serious mate? Just leave it be. A quick email is all that's needed.

I'm not really happy with the character bios on the website. How and when Lucy or even Drinian die don't belong on the promotional site for the movie.
Nice look, but on a wireless connection, that site takes forever to load when you go into it. It's got to be a bit clunky for dial up too.
I had a feeling that the website would be updated in conjunction with the trailer, but I kept forgetting to comment on my speculations for the past 3 months. Way to be on the ball. Anyway, I'm glad the website is up, even if it isn't finished yet. But I'm going to miss the sparkles. Me and the sparkles, we had a lot of fun together...
Are you serious mate? Just leave it be. A quick email is all that's needed. Americans seem to love to blow things out of proportion.
Unless I'm mistaken, Reepi isn't American. Besides, I'm sure he's joking.
Congrats Reepi, it must be fun to see your own work on the official website.
*Edit
It looks like there are a few grammatical errors on the site. This makes sense if it was borrowed from Narnia Wiki, but I hope they correct the grammar or make their own descriptions soon.
Perhaps we should quickly check the grammar at Narnia Wiki before the production takes more articles.
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
I woke up again to find that the stolen stuff is still on there.
I am heartbroken.
Now the damage is done.
Obviously they'll make millions of these stolen texts, as they are written in such a gripping and emotional manner that everyone who reads them immediately goes out to buy some Narnia merchandise (I certainly did!).
There is no way back now. I already feel this is going to be a big thing.
After this is over I am certain Michael Moore or someone will make a documentary about this sort of thing.
It reminds me of the movie Flash of Genius (inspired by the real case of the Ford car company blatantly stealing some genius inventer's idea of automatic windshield wipers). Obviously the same thing is happening here and considering the guy from Flash of Genius got 10.1 $ Million (MILLILONS, MILLIONS $$$$), I expect the same amount for copyright infringement and even more important, mental abuse.
And I really need that 10.1 $ Million, because I spent a great deal of it already, so if Fox could just send it to me quickly, the whole matter would finally be off the stove again.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
LOL Reepi.
So, I gotta say, I think my favorite part of the new website is seeing the full sail with the lion motif. I'm still not 100% sure of what that symbol is at the bottom of the sail, but seeing the whole thing, my best guess is that it's the letter 'n' for Narnia?
