As for Ramandu's Daughter, I am not even going to try. All I hear is DILL when I say that name, prompting me to identify RD with a giant pickle.
That is too funny! Honestly I don't like her name...

I was watching the animated version of LWW today, and I was suprised when Peter said Jah-dis instead of Jay-dis.

"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
^^Too weird...I'm so used to the Walden/Disney Jay-dis. Don't know which is "correct", however. Do you, wolfloversk?

I have a funny way of pronouncing things, so until I heard Coriakin pronounced "cor-ee-AH-kin" in the podcast, I always pronounced it "cor-EYE-uh-kin". To be honest I like the way they pronounce it in the movie so much better.
It was the same way with Aravis. I always pronounced it "uh-RAY-vis", but I'm starting to prefer "AH-rah-vis". I have always had a tendency to slaughter name pronunciations. (It's the American in me) I'm definitely getting better though...especially since I'm beginning to be interested in Japanese and am starting to pronounce things the way they would...
EDIT: About the way Jadis is pronounced, they actually pronounce it two different ways in Walden's version. Peter says it "JAY-diss", while the dwarf says it "jah-DEES" (when he's presenting her in Aslan's camp). "JAY-diss" sounds so much more American, but "jah-DEES" sounds more elegant. I wonder if they did that on purpose.

I thought it was weird how Caspian said CAL-or-men. I always thought it was Cal-OR-men. But that's just me...
I was SO happy when I found out Caspian pronounced it that way. I've always said CAL-or-men too. I was really surprised to find out that a lot of people pronounce it Cal-OR-men...
I thought it was odd the way they pronounce Ramandu. I've always said Ra-MAN-doo. They said it more like RA-men-dew. It reminded me of Ramen noodles, haha.
I've always pronounced Coriakin's name like COR-i-A-kin. With the emphasis on the Cor and the A. The people on the movie said it with an r in the middle, like "Coriarkin". Is that just part of their accent, or did they really add an R to it?

I use the "say it the way it sounds" combined with "breaking down the words into syllables," and got CALOR-men also, because i see the word "calor" which is spanish for hot/heat in there, and then the word men... so i think of hot men
