I thought it was "Core - uh - kin", not "Core - ee - uh -kin" and "Lil - and - ill" not "Lily - and -ill." What did you think?? (I mean what I thought the names sounded like from seeing them written VS what Lucy said in the movie.)

I pronounced it the same way in my head, but then I am slightly dyslexic, so I'm not your best source ;;) I just pronounced it the way it was spelled

I always thought it was Cor-ee-ah-kin, like the movie, as for RD I have no idea how to spell it, let alone say it :(

I used to pronounce it Cor-ah-kin but since then I have realized that this is incorrect. :p

I pronounced it Cor-ee-ah-kin, but I put the emphasis on the first syllable instead of the 3rd.

The way I usually pronounce the name "Coriakin" is COR-ee-uh-kin. I always liked pronouncing Lilliandil "Lily-AHN-dil." I can't remember how it is pronounced in the movie but I think that might be it. I always hoped it wouldn't be LIL-ee-an-dil. Also, I always thought Ramandu was "Rah-man-du" but in the movie they say "Rah-mon-du."

I thought it was weird how Caspian said CAL-or-men. I always thought it was Cal-OR-men. But that's just me...

^Same here.
I've actually pronounced 'Ramandu' Ramadu, completely ignoring the 'n', which is just wrong. That's a little embarassing. It's also a shame it took me until I saw the movie to figure it out.

The only one that I thought would be a bit different was Lilliandil.

I thought it would be Lil-lian-DIL. Not Lil-LIAN-dil.

But then, I pronounce my favorite character's name as Ah-rah-VEES. Not sure what the official pronunciation is.

And I admit I was not sure at first what the pronunciation of the Protagonist's name was- which syllable to stress.

I would pronounce Aravis as Ah-rah-vis. Lewis' character names are generally very good. It's Tolkien's character names that are often difficult to pronounce correctly.

I think I have a hodgepodge of pronunciations. I pronounce Aravis' name the same way Warrior does; Calormen, Ramandu, and Coriakin I pronounce the same way they do in the VDT movie. Before seeing the movie, I wasn't sure how to pronounce "Lilliandil" (and it's only said once in the movie), but I tended to separate the 'Lily' at its beginning and pronounce it "Lily-AHN-dil."

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

I love pronunciation topics. The spelling and capitalisation is...unique.

I noticed Ben's 'Calormen' pronunciation is different from mine, but I like the sound of it. It never ocurred to me it might be said different. I've always said Coriakin as Cor-ee-ah-kin, four syllables. And I've heard both pronunciations of Aravis, though I prefer the short i.

As for Ramandu's Daughter, I am not even going to try. All I hear is DILL when I say that name, prompting me to identify RD with a giant pickle. [-(

Oh I was worse for my pronounciation of Aravis... I had a dyslexic moment when I first read her name so I called her 'AHv-ris' (cuz I saw Avris instead of Aravis) for the rest of the book /:)
