glumPuddle: I accept and applaud your input to the conversation and your willingness to stand up for your stance on the poster rather than just cheer for it like a great many of the NarniaWebbers are doing. But do you think that you could critique it a little more kindly?

Let me make myself clear. Whenever you state your opinion about something Narnia, you seem to essentially shout it in everyone's face. It doesn't matter what sort of arguments the people on the other side of the issue has. The way you rub off on me is that you don't care what other people think; what you think is the most informed opinion, and that you don't care two cents about what others think, because obviously you know best. That you're not going to change your mind even if someone smacked you against a concrete wall.

Again, let me repeat that my problem is not with you disagreeing with me about the Narnia poster. It's about how you present yourself--in this discussion and others that I have seen you post in. I trust that you don't intend to communicate yourself in such a fashion, but its not fun to feel condescended to and as though your opinion does not count. Feel free to PM me sometime if you care to discuss further.

I think this movie is going to surprise everyone - Narnia freaks and newbies (to Narnia) alike! I have a feeling that this is going to be the best movie that has come out in a very long time!

Comments: I like the simplicity. Aslan, ship reflection it all looks very good and makes the average Joe (or Josephine say "Hey! I remember this book from when I was twelve! Maybe I should check it out"

Critics: I agree with Glumpuddle, is there an poster echo in here? Why yes! I believe there is, this was clearly meant to copy Avatar, sadly a lions face doesn't have to correct dimensions to cut right down the middle, well in the picture they chose anyways.

And what is with the reep? He's there to attract younger kids who say "Oh hey look! A talking mouse! How cute!" well the majority of people who will watch this movie are thirteen-thirty not little kids. Sure it doesn't have to be all blood and gore but it doesn't have to be the care bears on steroids either!

The 3D and the tag lines are extremely annoying, Fox seems to borrow off its other movies...

Now if they had wanted to make a teaser poster with the cut off face, they should have done it like this... With the correct logo of course.

I like it; the simplicity of the poster is a nice change from the action-oriented business of the past movies. But that 3D... I can't help but grimace. Still, this is only a sort of preliminary poster I suppose, so they don't wish to reveal too much. Overall, I'd give it a 6.5.

Sorry but I completely dissagree. He looks out of place and incoherent with the rest of the poster. Just adds clutter.

Nothing new here. Hopefully they'll go PG-13 with this. I know, I know, it'll never happen. But it spelled out success for Harry Potter, didn't it? Think of the creative integrity first, not the potential financial boost of a PG film

eh, I don't want this one to be PG 13, but I think SC would be good. And definitely LB.

I'm ecstatic that someone else picked up the rights to these films. I hope it does incredibly well just to kick Disney in the teeth.

Even though this movie comes out one week before Tron Legacy, it still is going to do good at the box office. People liked The Voyage of the Dawn Treader more than any other Narnia book in the series. It's my favorite book in the series!

Sweet! I like how Aslan looks so realistic. And so what if he isn't the main character in the movie! He is the most important one, though! Long live Aslan!
