I personally, as both a Narnia and LotR fan, think I'd be able to see both, but that'd mean one ticket to Hobbit and one to MN, instead of being able to see the, each twice- which is a possibility if they were spread out a bit. I got to see VDT twice...
Just a thought.

I think March 2013 is an excellent choice for a date, Fantasia Kitty! It seems like Narnia movies need to be released when there's less competition in general. PC and VoDT both got creamed in the U.S. by so many other big films for audiences to choose from.
March sounds good to me. Obviously, it can't be ready by this december, and the next four decembers are filled up with the two hobbit films and then two avatar sequels.

Yeah, I agree that March looks pretty good compared to the Hobbit winters. I checked a site to see if there were any big threats in March, and besides two animated films (one from Disney, the other by Dreamworks), there isn't any really big film for MN go against yet. Of course, this might change as more movies are announced for early spring 2013, but for now, this looks way better for MN to come out in then any other time of the year so far.

Yes, there was no way that VDT was going to be able to compete against HPDH1, last Christmas, even though Warners decided against a 3D version of that film. I like the idea of MN and subsequent films being released near Easter, a holiday time that is more closely associated with Christianity, like the Narnia stories themselves. It sounds like a good solution to the problem, not that I am afraid of Twilight, at any rate. There is only one more to go of that book series, and it says something about that movie, that the whole cast and crew figured so prominently in last weekend's Razzies.
I think march is a great idea guys! 1. because only about 1 or 3 popular movies come out.

There is one book, but two more Twilight movies to release, (although one release this year, leaving only one by the time 2012 comes around). And since the first it has figured prominently in the Razzies, but that hasn't stop the crowds from rushing to the theater for them. Good or not, the movies make loads of money so it does present competition for Narnia if release close together.
Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 comes out Nov 2011 and Part 2 Nov 2012. I really will be surprised if they have Magician's Nephew ready to go by Holiday season 2012, but you never know.
I'm all for winter releases... but I do like the March idea... I feel however that that might be waiting too long. These movies need to start getting released closer together, otherwise people are just going to get tired of them. My vote is late November 2012, sometime around Thanksgiving. Afterall it won't be competing with HP anymore. And I'm just gonna throw this out there sorry if its off topic. If they release MN then then I think SC would be a perfect winter release for 2013 either late Nov/ early December. It does take place in the winter after all. But I could see a March MN working, maybe...

Forgot about Breaking Dawn being out in November 2012, although I do think that they are aiming at different age groups, and would not take too much away from Narnia.
But I like the March 2013 idea, if not just for the reason that it's the month of my birthday!
