[Closed] Lucy's Dear Little Friends

So in each Narnia movie so far, Lucy has always had a friend that was suppossed to make the audience go "aww." In the first movie it was Tumnus, in the second it was Trumpkin, and in the third it was Gael.

I personally like Tumnus the best since their relationship was very reminescent of the books. I liked Trumpkin but felt that Lucy's connection with him was forced. Gael, who I threw such a huge fuss about, turned out to not be so bad and I liked Lucy's older sister way of dealing with her.

I liked Gael. I liked how Lucy follows the lesson she learned from Aslan- love and accept yourself as you are, since He does. I love it when Lucy tells Gael that she should be just like herself when she grows up. It adds to the message- it is not just gratuitous adding of another female character in order to get little girls (and big girls) to watch an otherwise rather masculine-dominated movie.

I chose Mr. Tumnus because I think their relationship is the strongest between a Narnian and an English child in the entire series. (Except for with Aslan, obviously).

But what about Reepicheep!? ;)

Tumnus because all of the other relationships aren't real.

But what about Reepicheep!? ;)

Reepicheep's relationship with Lucy is never emphasized as much as these other three. VDT was more about Reepicheep's relationship with Eustace.

I said other because I had more than one on my mind! ;) I personally thought that Lucy's relationship with Gael was so cute! She was pretty much Gael's older sister/mentor! The other relationship that I beloved is "cute" is her relationship with Reepicheep! I know that it isn't really emphasized in the movies or books really but the tidbits of it are just so cute! :) At the end of VDT (Wich I just saw today!) I cried when Lucy said goodbye to Reep! It was just soo cute! I also like her relationship with Tumnus and Trumpkin but Gael's and Reep's were by far my favorites! :)

That is so hard to choose!

I loved the way it was done in Prince Caspian with Trumpkin. The goodbye scene always makes me cry.

But then again, the Mr. Tumnus relationship is great, too.

Gael, after one viewing, is my least favorite of the three. But I need to see VDT another five times before I can really give my opinion.

Tummus' was the one I thought that was developed very well. Trumpkin's was mostly just not there except for like in two or so lines. MLG's didn't seem like they had built up on it enough.

I loved Lucy's friendship with Tumnus, it was so sweet, and felt so real. They had a great connection as friends, and he was so kind and patient with teh little mysterious girl he found in the woods.
Trumpkin comes next, because as already stated, I felt like Reepicheep was more with Eustace than Lucy. What small bits we did get of Lucy and Trumpkin, they were very sweet! The hug at the end of Prince Caspian was adorable!
Gael is my least favourite so far- we didn't see enough of how she and Lucy interacted, though maybe I'll warm up to it once I've seen the film for a second time. It has promise, because the two interacted well, I just couldn't grasp it first time round.

I stand with the Lord at my side, always.

Mr. Tumnus!

I liked her relationship with Trumpkin, but I didn't feel like her was her little friend like Tumnus was. and Gael was awesome, but she didn't take over the movie!

Lucy's relationship with Mr. Tumnus is definitely the strongest. But Lucy and Trumpkin was a very, very close runner-up.

I liked Mr.Tumnus, but liked the other ones a lot too. But I also really liked the part at the end of VDT when Lucy said goodbye to Reepicheep, it was so sweet.

Mr. Tumnus, hands-down. Enough said.

(Although her relationship with Gael was pretty sweet).
