You're right, the news is pretty dry lately. But I'm not really worried yet. There's still nearly five months to go until the movie's released. For PC, we didn't see the first TV advertisement (which was during the Superbowl) until 3 and a half months beforehand. Most of the TV spots didn't come out until 2 months beforehand. So I don't expect to see much advertising until at least September.

I know, it's very strange. I've noticed it too. Plus, I would think there would be more narnia news right now, what with Comicon going on. Hasn't any Narnia news surfaced from there yet?

Yeah, I feel things are pretty boring. They sure aren't giving us much to keep us fans excited! Honestly, the least they could do is update their facebook blog. Somehow, for PC I remember a LOT more advertising. And, being the spoiler queen, I loved it.

I'm really not sure what kind of marketing ploy they have this time around. Maybe it's all hush-hush now and they'll enter with a bang. Hopefully.

EDIT: Good point, Eustace+Jill. Yeah, it was weird they didn't have any ComicCon this year. Disappointing too. It really gets the word out.

Nope, no Narnia news from Comic-Con. Fox had no Narnia presence there for whatever reason.

I too remember much more news for PC. This time last year we had several news stories each day because of the filming there were spy videos and such. I'm not worried yet, however. The news will come when it needs to, and we just need to hang tight until then!

I think we could use some new teaser poster or picture. An interview with Georgie, Skandar or Michael Apted would be great as well. It's been more than a month since the trailer, people need to get reminded this film is coming soon!

Right, Rilian the Disenchanted, I could definitely see there being another poster soon. I wonder if it'll resemble the banners we've been seeing lately (but I hope it doesn't - I don't really like those banners much).

It's way too early to begin a heavy marketing campaign for this film. I too am bummed that Fox didn't have a Narnia panel at Comic Con, but at this point there's no real reason for the studio to release anything other than the teaser poster and trailer and the few stills that they already have.

We still have almost 5 months before the film is released, no studio ever heavily markets a movie this early into the process. I mean, even if you look at the big films to be released in November, Harry Potter and Megamind, we still haven't seen anything but teaser trailers and posters for those films. Tron Legacy is really the only film set to be released this winter that already has a full on marketing campaign, but we'll see how that plays out for them come December.

Fox knows what they are doing. Regardless of the quality of their films, there is one thing they know how to do and that is how to market a film. By the time December rolls around, everyone will know that there is a new Narnia movie coming out.

I think we are getting a lot of advertising for VDT then 20th Century and Walden did for 'The Seeker'. In August we are getting movie clips from VDT and another trailer to follow with whoever knows what else.

LWW got a lot of advertising because it was Disney and new (it had to do good to get everyone's attention) and a lot of people were hyped about it when movie surfers showed half of something in January of 05'.

PC had like 7 months to release after filming was completed so we got early advertising because it was made very quickly.

I beg to differ - we have had more stuff from this movie than from LWW or PC..... IMO

^ Ditto that Liberty. We can't be shown too much this early, but we have gotten a lot so far. Starting this coming month I'll bet we'll see more. Just sit back and relax, December will be here before we all know it!
