[Closed] Is it worth seeing it in 3D?

I've seen the movie once in 2D and loved it, do I spend the extra money to see it in 3D, is it good enough for that? I've never been a huge fan of 3D anyway so I'm unsure, help please :)

I would stay away then georgiefan. VDT was my first film in 3D and I can say now that it is not my favorite medium. If you don't like it in 3D, don't see it in 3D. I haven't seen it in 2D yet, so I can't say how it compares, but I don't think it's really a crucial experience.

I made an opinion poll for the 3D - so far its scoring reasonably well, and receiving moderate praise:

Absolutely.

Usually, I am not a fan of 3D and opt out of it whenever possible. But this one is worth it.

Why? The tickets cost more. So they make more money for our cause.

Technically and artistically, the 3D is also very well made.

It was ok. Though I'm not the biggest fan of 3D, I thought it was done fairly well. Certainly not like Avatar, but not like Clash of the Titans either!

No. The 3D effects were few and far between. Actually, I appreciated the movie even more when I saw it in 2D :)

I saw it in 3D, but would like to go back and see it in 2D. There were a few scenes that were nicely added to by the 3D, but not enough to make it worth pushing those glasses up on my nose constantly through the film.

Mightn't we close down this thread now the one with the poll is open? Save on space. :p

well, the movie in 3D focuses more on the effects. In 2D, it is nice too, since it is cheaper, and the effects are still great. All in all, I think watching it in 3D is somewhat great because the great effects are such worth viewing.

I didn't see it in 3D mostly because of cost and because of my health (I can get dizzy far too easily).....so I don't know. but if you don't favor 3D to start with, maybe you should just see it in 2D? I did and it was epic! :D

It was the first movie I'd ever seen in 3D and I loved it! It didn't have too much that popped out at you or anything but it was excellent. I went back and saw it in 2D and I still loved the movie, but not as much as I did in 3D. I agree with Aravis Narnia. If for no other reason, go see it in 3D because it costs more and they need to make The Silver Chair ;)

I've seen it three times .. all three times in 3D .. its great unless you already have glasses then you have to wear these annoying 3D glasses falling down your nose the whole movie.
