No, being invisible does not protect you from the mist. The Magician's house was invisible, yet the green mist was still able float around inside it's walls and tempt Lucy.
Maybe the mist followed Lucy from the lone island and snuck in behind her as she went into the mansion. After all, she was visible and had vanity issues.
Also, maybe the whole invisible spell thing only works on Coriakin's Island.

Then what's the point of making the mansion invisible if the mist can just sneak in through the door whenever someone has to enter or exit?
