There's a new interview with Douglas gresham out now, so I thought I'd begin the discussion on it.
One thing was of interest to me, while he discussed casting a different actress than Tilda Swinton as the LOTGK, Douglas Gresham said: "This evil spirit has found a new, young body in which to inhabit"
So apparently he views Jadis and the LOTGK as the same soul, just inhabiting two different bodies? I wonder if this viewpoint will be portrayed in the film?

I always viewed them as simlair but different people, It is good they are getting a new actress though.
I`m glad they are getting a new actress. I like Tilda, but there should be a new actress for the LotGK. I need to see some new faces. I hope they pick a good actress!

This is nice to hear, although I'll be taking it with a small grain of salt because it isn't official. Gresham said, "I think it will have to be a new cast."
I also find it interesting that he said he thought the Lady of the Green Kirtle has to be a new actress. I wonder if that's because of something technical, like scheduling, or because of the fan outcry and/or boycott that would follow Tilda Swinton playing the Lady of the Green Kirtle.
Good news that LotGK will likely be a new cast.
I don't think Gresham was saying that the spirit of Jadis would "possess" the Lady of the Green Kirtle, because in the video he says in reference to the inclusion of the green mist:
We do know from this that there is still evil. The death of the White Witch and her expulsion to whatever realm people like that go to and that sort of thing, that's not the end of the evil in Narnia.
So it's good that he's said she's dead and gone, but there is still evil in Narnia and will be until until the end of that world, as is obvious in the books.
I must say I will not be happy if the green mist oozes into Silver Chair anywhere but the scene where LotGK throws the powder into the fire. Not happy at all.
I want very badly for the LotGK to be a real, frightening, ancient lady who has plotted for years to take over Narnia, not some poor girl who was chosen to be a costume for the manifestation of evil. They have to kill her in the end, after all.
If the Lady of the Green Kirtle must be associated with the evil present at the Dark Island in the movie (I'm not sure if it can be helped after this green mist business), then let it be so that she has gained control of it and is using it to achieve her twisted means, not that it is in control of her. Judging by how it is portrayed in the film, I don't think the green mist or the Dark Island are sentient, but rather a reaction to the fears and temptations that are present in the characters, so I don't see how this "mist" could plot to take over Narnia anyway.
I am happy that he wants a different actress because I see Tilda as the White Witch and her story ended with LWW and she isn't supposed to some back until MN. Her little cameo in PC was a nice add in but I was really tired of seeing her in VDT. It's time for a new "evil" face.
This whole green mist thing came off as a horrible plot add-in but after seeing the foreshadow it brings for SC I can see how it works, in a way. I need to re-read the books to try and see where this is all coming from, my memory is very rusty and I've only read them all the way through once
