So I've been wondering, If you could have given The Voyage of the Dawn Treader only one of these Four things that LWW and PC had which would it be?
More Time:
LWW:2 Hours and 23 Minutes
PC : 2 Hours and 30 Mintues.
VDT:1 Hour and 53 Minutes
Both LWW and PC had longer running times then VDT.
Do you think if the running time had been longer, it would have been a better film?
Andrew Adamson:
If Andrew Adamson was the directer, do you feel the movie would have been,
Worse, Just as good, or better?
More Money (bigger budget):
LWW: $180,000,000
PC: $225,000,000
VDT: $155,000,000
Do you feel the movie lacked due to the smaller budget, or do you think it is perfect just the way it is?
Disney:
Are you disappointed with how Fox handled VDT or do you think Fox did a much better Job?
Maybe you feel there is something different that LWW and PC had that VDT did not, if so what do you think it is?
The Value of myth is that it takes all the things you know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by the veil of familiarity. C.S. Lewis
Only disappointed with Fox's run time for the film.. but all sins will be forgiven if they release an extended edition. Overall, I'm happy with VDT.

Time is definitely it. There were so many things that would have been better if they had simply took more time. Although Adamson takes a close second because some of the directing was not good. Budget was ok I think... And I'm not going to say that Fox was bad, it saved Narnia after all!

I agree. The biggest problem with this film is its short running time. Even if we take all of the plot changes into consideration, perhaps they would have been better developed and a little easier to swallow if the filmmakers took the time to work them into the story properly.
As it stands now, a lot of it is rushed and doesn't make much sense, even for a fantasy film. There's no explanation of where the mist came from and why it has to feed on people, why and how the lords had the magical swords, why turning the Dufflepuds invisible would do anything to protect them, why Eustace was turned into a dragon for touching the treasure when Lord Octesian just died, etc.
Yes, I know this is a fantasy story and not everything has to make perfect sense but at least they tried to give some sense of reality to the Narnian world in LWW and PC. I don't feel they did that with VDT.

Peter: I hunch.
Mary Jane: Don't.
I voted More Money. I don't think (IMO) that it needed any of the other things in the poll above, but it would have been nice if they had had more money because then they could have had more to spend on marketing or whatever they needed to spend it on.
but I think this movie is epic and I wouldn't change any of it!

I would have given it more time. 113 mins just doesnt cut for an epic/adventurous film.

I almost went with Andrew Adamson but I had to choose more time. I think an extended cut would fix a lot of the problems I have with this movie.
I chose Disney. That would automatically have given it more money (maybe) and allowed it to be better marketed and sold as the Disney brand attracts a lot of consumers. I'm assuming 7Chronicles that you're asking us for choices based on the existing VDT script they filmed and not going from square one with a good VDT script (minus seven swords, green mist, and cameos from White Witches).
Maybe a fifth selection might have been added for a better, faithful-to-the-book script, which LWW had over PC.

I put more time. I feel that was the worst thing about the movie. I posted in another thread how the movie made it seem like the whole voyage could have taken place in under a week when it actually took many weeks: three at the very least, by my count. And the movie just felt too short in general.
'A Better Script' should be an option. VDT's pacing was awful though, so I vote for More Time.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
Interesting poll. Easy choice: Andrew Adamson (out of those options).
Even if the huge pacing issues still existed and the silly green smoke was still there, at least it would be a generally well made film. The acting would be better, the editing less choppy, and the visuals more detailed and thought-out.
It might still be a generic fantasy film, but at least it would be a decent one. There are some things in the PC script I really didn't like, but it's a pretty well directed film.
More time... although I nearly picked a larger budget, but the pacing was the first issue.

"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
Andrew Adamson....I'd do anything to make Andrew the director again, the timing in VDT was bad and I wouldn't mind a bit more money, but I think that without Andrew Adamson something was lost in the movie, I call it the 'Narnia Feel' I don't know, it may be just me, but yeah I voted for Andrew Adamson

Andrew Adamson, hands down. Apted did not know what he was doing. That is part of the reason why the pacing was so bad, was because he rushed through everything. Besides, Adamson has a passion for the books and an understanding of them that Apted didn't. Apted was making a movie for children. Adamson said that he was following Walt Disney's vision by not making a movie for children, but for the child in all of us. That's why LWW and PC worked and VDT didn't.
