Are Aslan's eyes sparkling? That looks like a yes. I'm not a huge fan of that marketing choice, just because it gives the display a cheapness, but It's not really that big of a deal since I'm one hundred percent sure they won't sparkle in the movie. It's very nice to get to see Ramandu's Daughter since I wasn't even aware that she was on the poster in the first place.

I guess I'm just not crazy about these displays because I'm so tired of the blending technique. They're so hard to do well and the only movies that use them are the epic fantasy movies and while I think it worked nicely with LWW's poster, I'm kind of tired of the whole overall appearance that is blended pictures into a blue background.

Great images, tenth! Thank you for sharing. :D

I'm not terribly thrilled with the sparkles added everywhere. I actually think the areas that have sea spray look much better than the sparkles.

I'm really loving the use of colors though; the whole thing is so bright and rich compared to most of the other posters I've seen this year.

I like the inclusion of the Narnia map border in the background. I wonder if it's actually the whole map. My only slight nitpick, though, is why is Edmund holding Rhindon? Caspian does give Edmund one of his swords to use, but Rhindon? I can't help but wonder if that particular image is a swap. ;))

All in all, I think it's a nice display and I can't wait to see more.

Don't ruin what happens with Susan later in the series. I mean i know because i have read the books a bunch of times, but a lot of the people here haven't read the books, so don't tell the end of the series.

First off let me say thatnks for thinking about those of us who haven't read all the books.

I am currently reading The Horse and His Boy and then I will read The Last Battle and complete the series. but i understand that this is a place for Narnia fans. Most fans have already read the series and it's ok with me if they talk about it. If a post looks like it will be spoilerish i just skim over it. I understand that having parts of the bok revealed comes with the territory and it's fine with me. If I minded I wouldn't be on the forum. ;)

@tenth: are you 'Bonnie' on NF? ;) What do you mean Lucy looks 'possessed'? :-s I just think something is reflected in her eyes. But I don't know what. There are clearly specks of light in Lucy's eyes. What's wrong with that? :-

Susan: she looks haughty, as she should if she's giving up on Narnia in her heart. It's a perfect pose for her.

Sparkles: I like them because I think they're in the right spots, e.g. Ramandu's daughter. She looks transparent, full of light. She is supposed to be the daughter of a star. And the light increases as the ship travels toward Aslan's Country. So to me this is perfect. It's all about light! The other things that look like sparkles probably aren't. They're water bubbles and streams. You know, ocean effect. ;)

Well you would be surprised by how many people haven't read the books on this forum. The end is just too good to be ruined though. I mean i am fine with hinting at the end, but i really think people should try and not tell the end of the series. I just think a person should be able to come into a thread about a VotDT display and not have the end of the series revealed to them.

Overall, I think the poster looks MAGNIFICENT!

Lucy: Why the heck are you guys saying she looks possessed and all of that crap? She looks beautiful! Stunning, in fact. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, n?

Edmund: PhotosShopping is still horrid with him, but he looks a lot better than he did in the Cannes poster.

Eustace: Um, I apologize for my blatancy, but he looks like a fruitcake. I hope you catch my meaning :-s . Other than that minor [huge] dilemma, he looks great!

Peter: He looks like he's in a suit - certainly not from Prince Caspian either. On his way to university probably!

Susan: She very much so fits the description of Jadis from The Magician's Nephew in that pose! Bravo, bravo! She does look a bit angry/frustrated about something, though. Perhaps Lucy about to say the spell?

Aslan: WONDERFUL! He looks SO much better than he did in Prince Caspian! Probably even better than he looked in Wardrobe! The sparkles are a bit [hugely] annoying, but hey, it's a heck of a lot better than Prince Caspian.

Minotaur: In the hi-rez pics, he really doesn't look extremely atrocious (ahem, my initial reaction ;;) ). Even better! He only looks slightly atrocious :D .

Reepicheep: I'm starting to dislike that pose. Uh, nevermind. Why be so reserved? I HATE THAT POSE! And TWICE on the same poster? What were they thinking? Oh, I know! They weren't :| .

Caspian: Has anyone zoomed in on Caspian's hair? I do believe I see some salt-and-pepper! This is great! It definitely implies that more than 3 years have passed in Narnia.

Jadis: She looks great! And if any of you have taken the time to zoom in on her hair (I know, I know, What's with the hair?) and just her body in general, she has a very ghostly look about her. Perfect for a dream sequence.

Chief Dufflepud: Wow, what any ugly creature. Otherwise known as PERFECT! He looks great! And the spear! I was so excited when I saw that! Straight from the book!

Ramandu's Daughter: Firstly, what's with this 'Presumably RD' business? We know that's who it is! And, she looks great! Full of light and transparent.

And that's my opinion of it. *Takes a step back and bows as everyone applauds his might analysis* I'm flattered ;;)

I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.

You got my list of flavors too right? ;)) I heard today that bananas are good for stress reduction so you might want to add them too.

I'm still beginning to think that she looks mad because it is the part that'll be shown in the magicians book when Lucy is saying half the spell and doesn't Susan's face form into envy in the book?

I checked. Lucy doesn't actually say any of the spell in the book. The book does say

Then it changed and Lucy, still beautiful beyond the lot of mortals, was back in England. And Susan (who had always been the beauty of the family) had come home from America. The Susan in the picture looked exactly like the real Susan only plainer and with a nasty expression. And Susan was jealous of the dazzling beauty of Lucy, but that didn't matter a bit because no one cared anything about Susan now.

Caspian: Has anyone zoomed in on Caspian's hair? I do believe I see some salt-and-pepper! This is great! It definitely implies that more than 3 years have passed in Narnia.

I sure hope that it isn't salt and pepper :p and is just the lighting. That would indicate way too much time had pasted. :p

Okay yes this is what I was talking about ;) :D

I knew that I was forgetting something and that Lucy didn't say the spell but my theory of Susan possibly looking jealous was right.

So this picture could actually be her cameo for just 15-20 seconds

Taking pictures was my pleasure, I'm happy they turned out well!

220chrisTian, haha yes that's me! When I came home to upload them NW was down (the site's been going down for a couple hours every 2-3 days for me, anyone else having that problem?) so NF got them first.

Lucy: Sorry she really looks possessed to me. She looks beautiful in that picture, there's no argument there! But for me she appears to be enchanted by something we the audience can't see, and I can only imagine it's her fantasy after opening Coriakin's book. Her eyes are very glassy, her pupils are hard to distinguish, and her expression is vague. Possessed, hexed, overly enchanted, that's what those eyes say to me!

Susan: I like what was said about Peter looking like he's on the brink of honorable adulthood, that's how I feel about him too, whereas Susan is drifting into another direction, the right/wrong one. I don't think she looks so acerbic but her expression feels dubious to me, dubious about what though I'm not quite sure. Will have to see the movie to find out!

Caspian: No salt and pepper here, it's just the lighting. You can see the black areas on that side of the display are more like grays because the sun was shining down from my left. He is fully brunette, and that goes for Susan too! But unlike Susan, I think Caspian needs to wash his hair, twice Alright weeks at sea is a good excuse.

Interesting.... If that much time has passed, I could better see why he no longer has the accent and and it may explain why he is soooooo incredibly old by the time Rilian is born. But I think it's just the lighting. I hope it's just the lighting anyway. One reason being if he acts at all like he did in the book it would be terrible because he should be a lot wiser and more mature having been king for so long. The other reason is, from the glimpse we get of RD she looks quite young and I don't want to think of Caspian as a cradle robber. having more time pass has its pros and cons and I won't fret either way.

Very good to see film displays for VDT already. I'm glad to see that Peter and Susan are included as well. I think its just a advertising campaign rather than really expanding their roles for the film. However, I wonder about Lucy's sizing significance. She's above everyone on the left and as big, if not bigger, than Caspian's image. I wonder if that's just a design thing or something bigger than that. And just what is Jadis doing there? Oh please tell me that it's actually an image of a mermaid from out in the deeper ocean. I'm kind of getting tired of seeing Jadis used over and over, takes away from her villiany in MN. I'm also kinda tired of the Reepicheep image. I love Reep as much as the next person, but I just don't like the fact that he has become a part of the Narnia logo, its esscence. If anything it should be Aslan instead of Reep, but I personally prefer just the text. I actually like the look of the minotaur. It's a lot closer to the image in my mind from when I first read the books. I wish it was a bit more clear of all the characters on the right. I can guess, but I'm not entirely certain that I am right. Oh the speculation.

To be honest instead of Reepicheep being on the text I'd rather see the sea serpent make a slither around it. I think that would look awesome. Having Reepicheep on there twice only looks messed up.
