It was the same actress they got for WW and LOTGK in the BBC series and in the collection of the Chronicles they give Character bios that the LOGK is the WW or something like that I can't remember.
I just can't see it being the same witch and I hope LOGK is played by a different actress and not Tilda.
And yes i hope the Witch, Susan and peter are gone by the time the actual movie poster/ cover comes out. It is only necesarry if they did that. The story is not about them.

I actually wouldn't mind if they went either way with that. They could bring back Tilda for the Lady of the Green Kirtle or get someone else to do it. I don't think it is that important to me. Though now that it looks like they are going to have Tilda make an appearance in all of the films so far, i think it seems more likely that they will bring her back as the Lady of the Green Kirtle. That might be the only reason that i wouldn't want them to, but if they did she could be in all the films. Maybe they could sneak her in The Horse and His Boy somewhere.
Though i don't think i want her to be green. Too reminiscent of the Wicked Witch of the West.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
The only character I want to return in all the Narnia movies is Aslan, and Aslan only.
My guy friend told me that today he saw this movie poster at the theaters while going to see Shrek. He's a Narnia fan too and called me up saying he was in complete shock over seeing it and didn't find it to be right number one for RD to be way at the bottom and small when Peter, Susan and WW was bigger. He didn't mind them on there, only angry about a principal character in the movie not getting a better position on the poster.

I know many people are going to disagree with me about this... but I actually wouldn't mind if Susan's role was expanded and this poster was a sign of that... even though i'm a bigger supporter of the books and the movies sticking to them, she is my favorite character so.. anyone elso feel a little bit like this????

By expanded do you mean her on earth in America to see her foreshadowing? or in Narnia where she and RD will have to fight for Caspian's love? I don't necesarrily think so. A 25 second cameo is good enough. She shouldn't be involved with Narnia in anyway anymore until HHB.

Where to start. I have not posted since many pages ago. I have had much time to consider this poster and overall I like it pretty well. Here are the things that come to mind.
1. How well does it advertise?
Well it will sure grab the attention of a movie goer. It gets the word out in a big way.
2. Peter/ Susan cameo and appearance on the Cameo. Honestly, I don't think anyone else will pay attention to how big their pics are as a sign of how big the role will be. Only freaks like us put that much thought into movie posters I think it's good for them to appeal to the non-readers. I think the lack of continuity works better in the books than it would in the movies. It won't turn many people away. Let's face it. The reality is most of the crazies on here are going to see the movie, at least once, no matter how much it looks like they've mutated the story. Why? Because we're the crazies and we're curious. The die-hard Naria fans already know it's coming out so we don't need it marketed to us. The extreme book purists who would be turned off by this were probably already turned off or easily dissuaded enough that something would've made them ditch the movie idea sooner or later anyway. They may just as easilly look on the poster and see Ben Barnes has yet to dye his hair blonde and decide not to see it.
3. Reep on there twice...... um how do I put this.... It looks stupid. I will try to convince myself that there's another mouse on there besides Reep though I'm sure that's garbage. It's the only way I can justify it. I love Reep and it is his last film... but twice on the same poster....
4. RD (if that's her) being small(er than Susan). I like it. I don't like Suspian. But in the book RD has a small and mysterious role, in a big sort of way. I think the film-makers caught onto this. Thus the reason we haven't had a clear picture of her in costume. I think they are saving the best for last. They are keeping the mystery. They see her role is important so she is on the poster, yet they see she is meant to be mysterious so they keep her that way. Good signs. Thumps up
5. WW cameo. I have mixed feelings about this. To me the WW kinda represents satan/ pure evil, so it makes perfect sense that she would kind of haunt them in a way. At the same time, I don't like that she keeps coming back. That's kind of a smack in the face to Aslan. He said "It is finished" so be finished already! It makes Aslan seem not as powerful as He is if she keeps coming back like this. If she haunts one of them (especially Endmund) in a dream though that would be perfect imo. You don't get that deep into evil like that and not get burned. Yes there is forgiveness but the regret and scars are still there. I think it could work out really well if Eustace is still a dragon at that time. That way the nightmare would be a nice kind of foreshadowing of the "I knew a traitor once" line. We could see he still thinks of that.
6. I noticed there were complaints about how they didn't focus enough on the characters in PC. This poster should be good news to anyone who felt that way. I think they are going to focus more on the characters judging by the marketing so far. I'm ok without big pictures of the ship. It's the people on the ship that matter to me.
That's all folks! Thanks for reading my book
After reading everyone's posts...
1. I would like to see more new characters from VDT -- and them given a prominent place. ... So I don't want Peter, Susan, and the WW to reappear in future marketing.
2. Like Damsel, I would love to see a central focus on the ship itself!
3. I don't know which nightmare the WW will appear in, but either Edmund's or Lucy's would be fine with me. I thought Edmund was obvious initially, but after reading Movie Aristotle's post, it just might be Lucy. Thanks for reminding us of the book quote and the Stone Table. And I love Aslan's thoughts on this: "If she haunts one of them (especially Endmund) in a dream though that would be perfect imo. You don't get that deep into evil like that and not get burned. Yes there is forgiveness but the regret and scars are still there."
EDIT: where's the horoscope discussion thread?
yeah, I think it will be Edmund's dream that WW will show up in. or, it could be Edmund, Caspian and Lucy all having nightmares about her since she looks more like what she did in PC than LWW in this poster.....

Yeah I forgot about that passage with Lucy in VDT about still having that nightmare of the WW killing Aslan at Stone Table. It could very well work out with that. I can't wait to see it!

Well just like Satan really has no power over us, we're often tricked into thinking that he does, thus influencing our actions and disobedience. I don't know if the filmmakers would delve that far into this Christian theme, but it certainly is a possibility showing that despite all that Aslan has done, they still feel like she is dangerous. (Though in a dream, can she really be dangerous? No. Which is why I believe it fits.)
No, I don't think it's a GREAT idea that she's in it, but I do feel like (having not read the leaked script) that the writers would be able to make this important to the characters' development rather than the plot's development.
To me I always thought the WW was the sort of anti-Christ and Tash was like a Satan but it could be the other way around and I can actually see that since Tash appears at the end and anti-Christ is the omen to end all things. So that is right.

^those are very good ideas. I'm feeling better about her being in the movie . That is IF thye do it correctly.

I wouldn't know the difference, I haven't read LB yet for shame
^WHAT!?!?!? What are you doing on the internet? Go read!
I was looking closely at Susan and Peter and I'm pretty sure that they're not wearing outfits from PC. Peter's jacket and tie are slightly different from his school outfit. And, well Susan looks like she's wearing a Narnia costume which is making me really worried but...
I've decided that I'm going to try and stay calm for the rest of the news announcements. Even for the trailer. I will not freak out if they put something I don't understand in something. It will all make sense in the end (hopefully!). But I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to do this, so, um, ceppault, make sure you have chocolate ice cream around .
Are you sick and tired of this VDT display yet? Because I found it again, this time closer to my house. And I was armed with a real camera. So here to make up for not getting the three kids and Aslan, I bring you 1200x900px pictures. They are about 600kb average!

I never noticed the gold "sparks" around Aslan's eyes. They look like small fireflies or something, I don't know what, but I like them. The Chief has a harpoon. Susan's coloring looks the same between this display and the one at the other theater, the most stand out feature being her red lips. Lucy still looks possessed.
Again sorry for constantly hitting this thread with pictures. If anything I feel this new batch will help serve as references for costumers (like myself) looking to attend opening day dressed up.
