I would say about 10 people all together...we saw the first showing and were the first ones there when the theater opened.
"We have nothing if not belief"
There were definitely about twenty people this time when I saw VDT this weekend in 3D. It was a bit strange as they were all adults, like me. Middle-aged I'd say. It wasn't 10.00 am yet, on the first Saturday of the School Holidays, so I can't say anything for later sessions, which may well have more people.
I think there were less people in this session than the twenty or more I guestimated last Sunday, in the 2D session, as there were definitely children in that audience. But because of the slope of the seats I couldn't see how many.
^yeah there were mostly Adults when I went too, there were only five kids. More teens and adults, I could hear some other book fans behind us, but I don't know what they thought of it.

Saw it again today and there were a bit more people there than last week. About maybe 30 or so. Noticed also they took the 3D version out of playing to make room for Tron 3D.

Today's counts:
First theatre- at a mall in an upper middle class part of town.
11:55 2D show- 20 people.
Second theatre- at the largest multiplex in my county.
3:15 2D show- 30 people
3:55 3D show (the one I watched)- 25 people
4:15 3D show- 20 people
6:00 2D show- 25 people
Sadly, the multiplex was also showing Tron on IMAX.
I saw it first friday afternoon Dec. 2nd at 2:25 and there couldn't have been more than 25 people there. I saw it a second time Saturday night at 9:30 and there couldn't have been more then 50 people that time. I was pretty disappointed in the turn out both of those times.
Saw it today at 5 p.m. Was a pretty full theater. I'd venture a guess to say 3/4ths full at least. So maybe 75+ people.
Third time viewing it was today. First time had about 20, 2nd time had about 30, today's had about 100. Wouldn't it be really interesting if the overall box office results placed VDT with higher results on 2nd weekend than opening weekend?
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
about 2/3rd, it was over a week after it was released.
Today's first showing:
11:05 3D- only 3 people
11:35 2D- 20 people
1:20 2D- around 1:10 there were 3 people inside the theatre, plus about 10 people from a family or church waiting right outside for other members to come join them.
Multiplex has 2 2D theatres and 1 3D theatre showing VDT this weekend. Not sure if that was what they had previous week as well.
There were maybe 30 people in today's mid-afternoon matinee (which I attended with friends). It is still showing on 2 screens (but no longer in 3D) at the local cinema.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
OK, I went the first showing on a sunday morning so there were a mere 9 people in the theatre, I liked the small number it helped me get more into the movie
NW twin to Georgiefan! NW sib to 22!
avvie by AslansChild thank you!!!
Today:
1:20 2D show- around 25 people
1:50 3D show- only 3 people
Next show after I got out would not have started for at least 10 more minutes, so I was not able to count any other theatres.
Multiplex I saw it at- has 20 screens, is stand-alone (not part of a mall or shopping center), upper middle class part of town- VDT is playing on screen in 2D and another one in 3D.
I went to a pretty small theater (only has four screens but I love it anyway), at 4:00 on a Wendsday. And I was surprised at the amount of people- though I didn't get an exact count, the theater for VotDT was over two-thirds of the way full, maybe a bit more . It was only the front part that didn't have people in it- no one likes to sit up there
