It has been awhile since VDT was released. In fact, this time last year I was pumped to see VDT! However it seems things are at a standstill. How long do you think it will take to have the next film greenlit, if ever? Do you think we will have any other significant news? I mean anything like an interview saying a script has been written, actors have been cast, etc.
Personally, I'm not sure at all. It looks like everything is up in the air at this point. I'd like to here your thoughts everyone.

Well, there was an 8 month gap between Prince Caspian debuting in the box office and VDT being green lit. So if I dont hear anything by September, then I will pretty much have lost hope

I voted 1-6 months, but I almost feel it might be longer. I have no idea what to think.

Right now, as far as I'm concerned, it's over.
I would be surprised if another Narnia film was greenlit within the next few years. If another one ever gets made, I think it will likley be a new studio putting a different spin on it. It would not shock me if the series was rebooted with MN at some point.
The anticipation for these films has been a part of my daily life for over seven years now. It has been an unforgettable ride, and quite a chapter in my life. But the third film was a disaster, and the series has lost all momentum. It's time to move on.
Well, there was an 8 month gap between Prince Caspian debuting in the box office and VDT being green lit.
But during those eight months, we knew things were happening. Production dates were being announced (and revised), locations were being discussed, etc. We also knew for a fact that VDT was going to be next. There was also the leaked script, which at least showed they had put a good deal of thought into the story.
With this, it appears they are still sitting around going "uh...whata we do now?" As of a couple months ago, they had not yet decided if they were making SC or MN next. No script existed.
I voted 1-2 years, because this is just taking too long, it's to the point where I feel they will either take a hiatus from these films or a company will drop out and I'm guessing it will be Fox. If they can't come up with a conclusion by the end of Summer Fox will act as if Walden and the CS Lewis Estate are wasting their times.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
I really really wish they would make all the movies. But since they are pretty much sure MN will be next, I doubt there would be SC, which is sad because it's my favorite book and Will Poulter did such an amazing job. I expect only one more movie. If they just stuck to the themes and plots, the movies would be a bigger success!
1-6 months. They should at least give a green-lit this year.
But i'm guessing a 2013 release is going to be hard, at least if they want to get MN right.
I would be very sad if the franchise didn't continue. These aren't the best films ever made, but I love the stories so much that I might consider it my favorite film series. LWW came out when I was a child, so there is nostalgia in rewatching it as well. Same with PC. Oh well, at least we have three films and a wonderful set of books for sure.

I have i agree Valiant; these films are easily my favorite film franchise ever. While there will always be other films to look forward to, it will never hold a candle to anticipating a Narnia film.

The fact we haven't heard anything in so long is telling, especially how neither Walden or Fox has stepped forward to say something substantive about how things are going.
It looks like this will be a trilogy, though I am more than happy to see it continue.
We are waiting for a statement from the Estate and/or Walden about whether they are going on. Keep watching out.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

This is over, Narniaweb might as well shut down.

Now don't say that! NW is not just about Narnia Movies, it's about everything Narnia!
I voted two years, and that's me being optimistic.
This is over, Narniaweb might as well shut down.
As Louloudi mentioned above, there is much more to NarniaWeb then just the movies. Members are what make the place run; as long as there are Narnia fans, there will be a NarniaWeb. Even if the movies are over.

I voted 1-6 months. I could be wrong. But I have a strong feeling the powers-that-be are waiting until the HP hue and cry is over before they make any formal announcement. Which will be about Sept -October.
