Some viewers of the latest Narnia franchise have criticized the filmmakers for being too willing to compromise the integrity of Lewis' work with the contemporary notion of the epic in cinema. What if our previous notions were wrong, and the the filmmakers and even Lewis himself were misguided about creating the Narnian universe? Should Narnia have taken greater cues from Tolkien and that great master of the epic, Peter Jackson? What if there were hobbits in Narnia?
Throughout the books, Lewis described how the Narnian air made the children stronger and more mature both physically and mentally. Perhaps if the children had became shorter and grown thicker hair on their toes, the franchise might have lived longer. Instead of radically altering the script, perhaps Michael Apted should have devoted his energy to designing prosthetic feet for the cast?
Are there other ways in which Narnia should have taken inspiration from the universe of Middle-earth? Sound off below.

Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so" - John Donne

I think there should have been more Narnian songs and poetry.
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
Hobbits are the bestest ever! Especially fair-haired ones like me.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
