I think that the mist may be involved in Silver Chair though. Even if the Lady of the Green Kirtle is not in VotDT which i assume at this point she is not. Then the mist that exists in VotDT may also be part of the evil in SC. I have no idea how that would work, but i could see that happening.
I still very much dislike the idea of Tilda being the LotGK, but since they have had her back in every film so far i could see her being back in SC as well. We don't even know if they are going to make SC though so i am not going to worry about it at this point.

Even if the WW doesn't become the LotGK, the Green Mist might still be in SC. This could be there way of relating the WW with the LotGK, or even hinting that they are the same (without stating it outright.)

Valiant, I don't think that just by having the WW as one of the forms the Dark Island makes would suggest they're the same, all it suggests is that the WW is Ed's nightmare, and maybe if you reeaaalllyyy want to stretch it- that the LotGK has some sort of telepathic ability to understand people's nightmares. But I don't think it hints that they are the same. In theory, the Dark Island will take on other forms too, a sea serpent is most likely (upsettingly for me), perhaps Miraz or Sosepian (sp fail) will have a cameo as well in Caspian's dream, and countless other "who knows whats." Would that imply that Miraz and LotGK were the same too? I don't think so- that would make no sense at all

But when they are speaking to Corkin (sorry if that is the wrong name) when he has the map he mentions a witch. I am just not sure how prominent her role is going to have to be. I don't know enough.

decarus, Edmund asks if it's a witch, Coriakin says, "It's something far more powerful than a witch," Implying that it's not a witch, but an even greater threat.

That was not my impression. There was like a flash of a witch and then Edmund said a witch. Then Corkin said something more powerful which i think he means the green mist, but i also think that there is a witch involved in the green mist. I am not sure if the witch is the causer of the green mist or just a manifestation of the green mist. It really isn't quite clear on that.

Tirian said that the WW isn't controlling the DI and that she is just a form which the DI has taken.
I don't think there is a witch controlling it because Coriakin said it was more powerful than a witch and it would not be nearly as scary to find some disgruntled witch cackling behind the mist as it would be to find this evil darkness that exists on its own and can make nightmares come true knocking on your door step.
And as I have said before why would a witch create this evil thing thousands of miles out on the middle of the ocean where nobody goes?

This is a valuable point which I myself have over looked.
Maybe it wasn't always in the middle of the ocean, maybe it was defeated somewhere else and is drifting to find a new prey.
OR
Maybe it was just out there for it to grow in its power before making its way somewhere.
....but I still think your point is most likely: that it is not created by a witch.

The mist moves around though. It isn't just out in the middle of the ocean. We know it is in Caspian's cabin on the ship. Wasn't it also on the lone islands? I haven't been paying enough attention to the news to know and the film is so different it isn't as if we can rely on knowing the book well to have any idea what is going on in the film.

I don't mind it either as long as it is just a "form" which the DI haunts or tempts people, and that is the way it looks to me from all I've seen.
