I think he probably just threw it down on the ground after everyone was out of the tunnel and then climbed out of the tunnel himself. That's my guess anyways.

I agree with this, Peter and Susan probably left them in the tunnel. Remember the earier scene when the were just about to get out of the tunnel and Mr. Beaver started climbing up (when Mrs. Beaver says "you should have brought a map") they probably dropped the lights here so they could climb up easier. This also might explian why no lights are visible from outside. Also, although this isn't much proof, notice that in PC during the battle Caspian also drops his torch as he exits the undergroud area.

He dropped it. There probably wasn't time to edit him doing that. Editors have to be very quick. I took an editing class and learned the process. You can't really show everything just have the story of the moment there.

Those things don't bother me. What does get me is that due to all the different takes, and different shots within scenes, we see about six different versions of Lucy's hairdo on the day she goes into the wardrobe the first time.

Maybe they did this on purpose, but during the LWW battle scene, when they shift from Edmund looking at Peter to Peter looking at Edmund, there is a small pause on Edmund, the first time I saw it I thought it was the dvd I was watching, but it happens on all of them.

I was just watching PC again and noticed this:

when the Pevensies first get into Narnia in PC, they run onto the beach, flinging their coats and shoes onto the ground. when they get into the water, Peter has taken his blue vest off. Edmund has his vest on.
but when they are walking among the ruins of Cair Paravel, Peter is once again wearing his blue vest, but Edmund is not!
ooops.....

I actually read an article about someone whose job it was to look for inconsistencies in regards to some kind of filming because the audience would notice. I don't know if that is standard procedure or not. I don't think I noticed any of those things but I will look the next time I watch. Since the title of thread doesn't specify which version the editing inconsistencies are in, I think I'm safe posting somethings I noticed in the BBC's Chronicles. In VDT, they replay a part of the storm sequence twice. It is rather funny since the mast crashes down during the sequence, so they end up losing it twice. Also, Lucy turns the pages in the magician's book backwards and in the book it is specific that they don't go that way.

I don't think that's technically an inconsistency because the second time it's a recap of what happened in the last episode.

That one makes me laugh every time! The imaging in that bit always looked a little off to me, maybe they originally filmed it facing the other way and then it got flipped for whatever reason but in doing so the pages got turned around?

In PC, when Trumpkin gets taken out of the water, he has a rope around his head. Then the camera changes and it's completely gone. Once they get back to the other camera, the rope is back on his mouth again.

Pattertwigs Pal: yes, I did notice that part in the BBC VotDT! it really bothers me because you can see how obvious it is and when it repeats, the music kind of gets weird for a minute and it doesn't match up quite right the second time it goes around!

I noticed the rope one and also the vests...They should hire someone off of narniweb rto watch their movies before they are released, we can tell them waht's wrong
