[Closed] Does Eustace die?

So I was watching the video for Someone Wake Me Up with Joe McElderry, which can be seen here:

... re=related
and I thought it was good. Great song, and some new clips from the movie.

However, now I come to the main point of this topic. In this video, at 1:50, it appears that the Sea Monster "eats" the Dragon. I'm not the only one seeing this, am I?

What I'm wondering is:
Does Eustace "die?"
And if he does, does Aslan bring him back to life later after he's redeemed?
Or, if Eustace doesn't die, how can he escape the deathly jaws of the raging and hungry Sea Monster?

So what do you all think?

No he doesn't- I saw another clip of the undragoning scene, he is heavily injured though.

As for how he can escape...luck I guess, or maybe this is where Ed's stunt comes in, or this could be where they "smash the boat into the serpent, or Eustace could try to breath fire on him... he does later on shore.

Does Eustace "die?"

Nope. Not in any way, shape, or form. :)

This is just another one of those mysteries surrounding Eustace the Dragon, isn't it? It's goo the movie is almost here.
Injured during a battle, then undragoned though :- . Could be good I think, but I surely hope he doesn't die, that would be... awkward. Awkward is the best word for it I think.

Well...

I know that in the book, he doesn't die. I don't know if they changed that for the movie, though. Interesting question... Hmm...

It would be interesting. Having Aslan bringing him back to life, and then healing all the wounds once he's alive. It would be kind of like the end of LWW in a way...

I wonder, if he doesn't die, how he got out of the serpent's mouth alive? :- To me, it looks like the serpent ate him whole... :-o

There's a picture of them back in Lucy's bedroom looking at the picture. And Eustace is not dead. ;)

^^ What we mean is, did he die and then get brought back to life by Aslan? ;)

I don't think so... He was definitely alive as a dragon, when Aslan appeared...injured, but alive.

But that might not be the very instant he appears. Plus, like God, I think Aslan can help from afar.... right? :-

Good thoughts. I'm just wondering if: Eustace dies, Aslan takes him to another place (Dunno where) and then he's healed by Aslan, and then returned to the Dawn Treader afterward...
I honestly don't know... so let's go find out on December 10th, shall we?

It doesn't look like he gets swallowed to me, it looks like the sea serpent grabs him from the side and slams him under the water.

To be honest it doesn't sound at all to be a bad idea to have Eustace die as a dragon and resurrected as a new behaving boy. I learned something similar in my screenwriting class about heroes. I hope that is what happens!

Heh, that's exactly the sort of cliched, god-awful scene I speculated we'd see when we first found out about the Dragon!Eustace vs. Sea Serpent battle.
