To answer your question, release dates are probably already confirmed accurately, for most countries. I think IMDb is correct, (it usually is). One should (Yes, I know it is insane that they won't release the movies any earlier! I feel sooooo sorry for you! ) not be surprised that Asia (sometimes) gets really late releases, since they have to ship the film, etc. I heard that in the non-speaking English, countries in Europe, Prince Caspian came out July!!! The latest being August 21, 2008!!!!!!!! In Mexico it released May 9! It's different in every country, like one movie will come out late, and one will be early. I think it's because of the shipping orders coming in, etc. I know when I send a letter from Asia, to USA, it will arrive there in 2 weeks. And if I send something from the States to Asia, it will get there in ONE week. Well, so I guess, that it's Feb for you. Other countries haven't been confirmed yet. Argentina gets theirs in January. And what about subtitles? And the new 3D feature? Oh, yes, and because of the economy, and the holidays like Christmas, it is very expensive for planes to fly in that season. So, I guess they chose Feb. because of less snow & the holidays, etc. Please, don't be to despaired! At least you will still eventually get to see it, and while you're waiting watch clips (if you're not going spoiler-free) when they release them. Hope I helped! Sail on the Dawn Treader!

I know I'm probably the only person in the entire country that will care to be affected by this, but I just needed to ask - should I trust the date IMDB has?
You're not. PeaceandLove, who posted above you in this thread, is also from Japan. Here's the confirmation that the IMDb date is accurate. (Link provided by PeaceandLove)

And for getting it late.
Sorry, I didn't see this thread.
But.. really? I wish I'd known earlier (of course I could, if I'd seen this.. but ) because I was anticipating December so much..
I guess it's kind of overreacting, but I just about cried just now. I may have to go without Narniaweb for a couple of months because I won't be able to deal with everyone's excitement.
A week or two I could do, but this.. I really thought it was just an IMDB thing.
But, I suppose I'll just have to adjust my countdown and wait for.. Feb. 25th, which somehow seems a whole lot further away than December.
Thanks for the sympathy.

Alright!!! US on the 10th of December!
Narnia93 - "It is hard for you, little one," said Aslan. "But things never happen the same way twice."
Updated my original post to include Italy on Dec 10. Go Italy! They don't have to wait like 3 months this time around like they did for PC.
ETA: I discovered a whole list of release dates sitting right under my nose. On the official Narnia Facebook page, perhaps you've seen the mass of flags on the sidebar? Well they just so happen to link to other countries' Facebook pages and the vast majority of them contain the release date for that particular country. I've updated my first post... I don't remember how many I've added, it was a lot. I'll be updating the Nweb calendar tomorrow.
And I don't like the NEW Japanese title. It is "The Chronicles of Narnia : King Aslan and the magical islands", if it translates into English.
Hahaha! Greatest Movie Title Ever!!
Oh. Magic ISLANDS. *smacks self on head* I was reading it 'magic bird'. The characters are kinda similar in Japanese, and I didn't look to closely.
Well, that makes a lot more sense. And it's not nearly as bad. Still, I don't know why they couldn't have stuck to what they translated the book title into.

IMDb has updated their release dates to include Turkey, Singapore, and South Korea, so I got those added.
They also say that Hong Kong gets the movie on Dec 10th, whereas the Facebook page says Dec 9th so I'm not sure which one is correct.
Also, Narnia.com added Holland so I got that one added as well.
Heh, after having to wait some 2 1/2 longer to see Prince Caspian in the theaters, I am surely delighted that in Austria it will be one day earlier than in the US (as was the case with LWW) again
Isn't a day earlier actually the same day? Who knows.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
Aug 9 in the Austria is about a day and a half before Aug 10 in the USA.
I'll take your word for it.

I like it that the Philippines will release VDT on December 9! Though LWW was released on January 8, 2006 and PC on June 4, 2008 (I remembered the EXACT dates!), it's good that we could get early film showings. However, VDT showing in my country will be cut short by the local film fest every Christmas week (that means no foreign movies starting on December 25 until first week of January!) but will be resumed after a week.
I hope they could extend the film showing here!
8 December in Belgium. I think we're one of the earliest. I will try to go on the first day
I'm going to have to remember not to come to Narniaweb after it's released in other countries until I have seen the movie myself, so I'll still be somewhat surprised.
