Does anyone know if Eustace is described as being a particular colour when he's a dragon? I want to know because I'm trying to find all the dragon descriptions from VDT as I want to dress up as the dragon for the South Australian Lion Party. Any help would be great, thanks!

The old dragon was described as having a long lead colored snout, but what color the-dragon-that-had-been-Eustace is never specified. Still, he it were gold, that might explain why it wasn't until he raised his claw that they didn't see the arm ring. You would think that gold would stand out against green.

Yeah, I know the other dragon had a long lead-coloured snout but I thought Eustace was green. He may have been a gold colour. Thanks for your help. I'll see what other members here have to say.

Well, we know now that he's brown (The pre-viz wasn't too far off then). I always imagined him being green myself, but brown's okay. At least he's not pink

I think it is realistic having Eustace a brown color since the rest of the island is that color, so it could blend in when hunting, which is the way it would be in real life(if there were dragons in real life )
I agree with you there, aragorn2. Funny how all along we knew DragonEustace's color was, but we weren't really sure it was true until the third trailer came out! Sure, it's not the color I thought it'd be, but I think whoever said that the brownish color reflects on Eustace's personality, which is dull-colored, is right. Just like I mention a long time ago, I wanted Eustace as a dragon to remind you of him when he was a human. They seem to have achieved this with the dragon's scale color. I am very pleased with the dragon, and I hope we'll see more of it soon!
He looks to me like a fusion of brown and gold.

Huh, I like that. And with the slight tint of gold you get the hint not only of the greed that got him there in the first place, but also the sense that there is something valuable about Eustace himself - his boringness is not the 'true' Eustace.

I think Eustace being gold in the film is meant to reflect upon his greed in taking the treasure and gold in the gorge on Goldwater island.
