Found this today:

http://www.latinoreview.com/news/a-snea ... ader-11728

It sounds like this reviewer saw the same 30 min preview as those from the Spoiler Attack of several weeks ago. I only post it because it has things I have not seen in any review or spoiler thus far.

*Spoilers***

The article recounts dialog from the movie--many lines I have heard before. ( High King and Queen were in there, the Susan line was not)

More of Edmund and Lucy before they go to Narnia.

The Eustace/Reepicheep duel dialog.

The exchange between Aslan and Reepicheep at the end of the world.

The dialog between Eustace and Reepicheep as they say good by.

Now I am assuming that all this dialog from the movie was written from memory--I doubt they were allowed to record it. So it may not be totally accurate. That "Susan I've got you" line and the High King and Queen line are going to drive me crazy until I see the movie. Is it "Susan I've got you! Its me Lucy!" Or is it "You're alright, I've got you! Caspian! Lucy!"

I'm not liking the England bits from this spoiler review. First Edmund makes a big deal about having led battles and being old enough to enlist--then next minute he's making faces at Uncle Harold (really? I outgrew that when I was eight--and I didn't rule a country for fifteen years in the interim) and feeling sorry for himself for a situation that can't be helped. Blech.
And Lucy is "obsessed" with her looks? Obsessed is a subjective term so I am still hoping this does not permeate Lucy's character throughout the movie.

Things look better once they are in Narnia--I think I'm going to like how they develop the relationship between Eustace and Reepicheep.
I am very relieved that there appears to be no ongoing power struggle between Edmund and Caspian. It looks like the ending emotional goodby is going to be a two hanky deal for me. It looks very touching.
I think the exchange between Aslan and Reepicheep will upset some fans who are worried about the noble heart speech. I don't know if that's the entire dialog between the two but it looks like its all there. Reep gets to enter Aslan's country because he earned it. Makes me wonder about the undragoning.

This looks like it was posted just today, and has dialog I have never seen before, so I thought I would share it. But if it has been discussed in another post please feel free to delete this one.

So Susan is in America! It kinda sounds like Peter is, too.

"How brilliant" just doesn't sound right. I think some of this is basically fill-in-the-memory-blanks stuff. Would Edmund seriously ask Caspian if they are in Narnia? /:) Would Reepicheep call Eustace a "Sterile Interloper" for goodness' sakes!? That's almost inappropriate.

"Period. Exclamation mark!" Ugh. I really hope that's wrong - I don't think of Reepicheep as knowing that much about grammar...

Other then that, nothing much to say... Oh, and Eustace's farewell to Reepicheep is so sweet!

I know what you mean about the "sterile interloper". What kind of remark is that? I much prefer "am I to understand that this singularly discourteous individual is under your Majesty's protection?" I've always loved that line.

I also wondered why Edmund asks Caspian if they are in Narnia. Where else would they be and, more importantly, where else would Caspian be?

I do like it when Eustace hears Reepicheep talk and is totally thrown and Caspian says "Of course he talks, its getting him to stop talking that's the trick." That line is from the book, albeit in a different form and place but I always thought it was funny. I'm glad they threw it in somewhere.

Wow incredible!! This is serious spoilery stuff!! :D

I'm almost happy with everything reported, but there's some stuff which either has me curious or furious:
"I'm a King. I've fought wars and I've led armies"- seriously? [-(
"...by a crew of men, centaurs and minotaurs" I'm guessing this is a mistake and there are NO centaurs on board the DT -.-
"High King and Queen of Narnia!" no, No, NO!
The description of Dark Island- still sounds pretty cheesy IMO

Now for the things I love:
Eustace's diary- spot on!
Eustace vs. Reep- =))
Reep comforting Eustace -
Reep and Aslan dialogue -

Periods are something you learn about in Health class. I think Reepicheep means 'full-stops'. Still that dialogue is rather awkward. Not cheesy, just weird.

So Susan is in England!

Wait, do you mean isn't? Because that article specifically states that she's in America. :-

Warrior 4 Jesus, Actually the "Period. Exclamation Point." line is pretty common where I'm from... Infact its almost verbatim. Some of the rest of that line is a bit odd though, and I think "Sterile Interloper" is taking it a bit too far. How about "Selfish Scoundrel" or "Traitorious (sp?) Theif?"

the "Of course he talks, its getting him to stop talking that's the trick." was borrowed from Shrek, "I was hoping for something a little more original" :)

@ Wolfloversk:
Heh. That's what happens when I try to post intelligently at a disgustingly late hour. I meant to type "So Susan is in America!" *Goes back and edits post* Thanks for letting me know...

Yes, we have "Period. Exclamation Point!" around here, too. But it is now considered melodramatic. And I really feel that it's out of character for Reepicheep.

"Sterile Interloper?" That sure sounds out of place and over the top... /:)

The "Period. Exclamation Point!" doesn't worry me much, although that does sound kind of weire that even Reepicheep would say that... :-

Actually, aragorn2, I'm pretty sure that Caspian's line is in fact from the book, so I'm happy it's there.

I was thinking about the line in which Reepicheep says that Caspian promised to be good to the Talking Beasts of Narnia and Caspian responds with "Talking Beasts, yes. I said nothing about beasts that never stop Talking." Its during his tantrum at the end of the World. I thought maybe they had just reworked it and inserted it elsewhere, but you are right. Even though the line does appear in some form in the book, it does sound more like they copied Shrek.

'Period. Exclamation Point' is very much an American way of saying it. In Britain and here in Australia we'd say, 'Full-stop. Exclamation mark.' Since C.S. Lewis wasn't from the US, I think the latter would be more suitable.

They've never bothered to make the dialogue sound like anything other than modern dialogue written by Americans, so that doesn't surprise me at all.

I'd argue that the dialogue has been some weird pseudo-American/British combination. But you're correct.

^I checked, and you're right, although I'm almost positive that I read that exact line somewhere in VDT... Anyway, yeah, that line is pretty much the same line from Shrek, but this doesn't really matter to me much, and besides, Andrew Adamson was both director for Shrek and the Narnia films (lousy reasoning, I know... 8-} ).

Edmund's character in the beginning really makes me nervous that he'll act just as bad as Eustace does for a while. What I fear most is feeling more sorry for Eustace(who we're supposed to strongly dislike) than we do for Edmund before they washed into Narnia through the painting. I love that we're seeing that Edmund is very annoyed with his cousin throughout the movie, but if he begins getting abusive and acting like a bully, our sympathy for him might get lost somewhere. :-t

Lucy and Edmund feeling sorry for themselves might end up being a problem to me later, but for now, I'm OK that they're struggling with being in Cambridge. After all, 253 days IS a long time to be with your unwanted aunt, uncle, and cousin. ;)

You know what? I feel very stubborn and opinionated today, so I think I'll wait until I feel less this way so I don't start arguing about what I think and chatter on and on. But like I said before, it's enjoyable to be able to read about the movie and imagine what it'll be like for real. :D

^ Agreed Warrior 4 Jesus. I was hoping for some more dialog which would be appropriate for the place and time period. It seems VDT is doing a better job at this than both LWW and PC, however the "period, exclamation mark," is out of place. I don't even thik Reep should say, " full stop, exclamation mark," but what can you do? *shrugs* :p
