Tirian's review was great! Now I'm stoked to see the film. I'm glad to hear the ending is a great emotional climax!
Check out "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Last Battle" trailers I created!

Of the four published reviews, I liked Tirian's the best!
Here's my summary of these reviews, plus a discussion of two discrepancies (running time and Governor Gumpas). http://www.aslanscountry.com/2010/11/ne ... e-reviews/
Well, Tirian's review was encouraging, but less so than I was hoping. What I'm bugged about is the fact that they have seemingly changed the entire plot of the book in addition to mixing some of the iconic locations and ignoring a few character descriptions (as well as some characters themselves). Despite all of these changes, I have yet to see an olive branch offered to the fans from the production. They are reaching out to every other demographic that they can. Why are they ignoring the fans? Is it perhaps because the film really is nothing like the book?
I desperately want to like this film, but so far Fox & Walden have given us absolutely no reason to.
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
Well, it looking like a fun, awesome, adventurous, movie is no reason at all to want to see it?
Although this review looks like they only saw a 30 minute portion of the movie, this looks like the most "negative" review I've seen.. and even then they seemed happy with the movie.

your fellow Telmarine
Since I never really liked Reepicheep's character in the movie or the accent which was kind of weird and I know what to expect I guess I will probably be happy
I'm so happy with the reviews that are coming out right now. I really think that this film is going to be really good. I still don't understand how the changes are going to work in but I'm feeling a lot more positive about them right now. It seems that we have been getting worried over some things that may not be such a big issue as first thought - I hope so.
Do you love "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes?
If so you might like to see my sister's dramatization of this poem through her photography!

CorazonBandido55, Thanks for posting the review. I know no movie is perfect, so I hope I don't sound bad saying that I'm glad to hear some of the criticism. I know there has to be some flaws, and I'd like to know what they are.

Well, so far all of the sort of reviews that have been coming out are positive. I can't wait to see it for myself though. I hope they did the book justice.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen any negative reviews from anyone who has seen the movie. I'm sure it's going to be fantastic!
LOL at one of the comments on it... "I am egrediously offended by your suggestion that all goons are neckless humans. That is a stereotype perpetuated by the liberal media."
But yeah, the movie still could be great, regardless of what the trailers might imply. All the reviews seem to indicate that the Fox marketing campaign has been incredibly misleading.
From KansasCity.com
The Narnia series, dropped by Disney when chapter two disappointed, is back in high style. Fox put director Michael Apted in charge of "The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and on the basis of the semi-finished print I saw, he nails it. The effects are thrilling, the comedy is funny and young Will Poulter, that scene thief from "Son of Rambow" runs away with the film as bratty cousin Eustace.
Actually, the thing that excited me more was the fact that the same reporter gave Tron a very "lukewarm" review.
Sweet! So there's a pretty good chance that VDT will soar over its competion on the day it comes out and the next week!
Here's some thoughts by someone who has seen 30 minutes of the film. He also gives a rundown of each scene, which most of you might know already. Spoilers. http://www.latinoreview.com/news/a-snea ... ader-11728
Well, I won't say what I thought was good or bad here, but I will say that was fun to read, and it keeps reminding me that soon I'll actually be able to listen and to watch all of this for real!
