Doctor Who - Season 11
I'm going to hit Walmart on my way home and pick up a copy. I may see what price Lifeway has it for first though. I'm planning on picking up the blu-ray combo pack.
I just bought two copies of the DVD two pack, my copy and a copy for my mother. Got them for $20 at Target, thinking on it I should have gotten the BluRay 3 disc even though I don't have BluRay yet, but it was also available for $20
I was gonna buy it at the Family Christian Bookstore that's right next to the Target, you know, I figured I'd support them first. But I walked in and out. For the two-pack I bought at Target, they were charging an extra $15. Even their single disc edition was more expensive than the BluRay at Target!
BTW-
I voted on sales being on PC's ballpark. That first choice is funny, and while that'd be great I won't vote based on fanboyism. Just not logical. The boxoffice wasn't there, why would DVD sales be?
Our copy came in today...however, I saw it thrice in theaters and I don't have the energy yet to watch it again. I will go watch the deleted scenes, though.

Even though the 2-pack was only $4 more, I still went for the 1-disc DVD. When I was at Best Buy to get my copy, I held the 2-pack and it didn't even feel like it had actual DVD cases under that cardboard. From people who got it, is that true? If so, how are people actually going to put it next to their other movies? The packaging was awkward and big, plus you've got that awful front cover art to deal with. At least you can peel the Easter sticker off of it.
Mary Jane: You know, you're taller than you look.
Peter: I hunch.
Mary Jane: Don't.
Interestingly enough, I was at two local Targets today, and neither one had VDT - no DVDs or displays at all. This despite the fact that it was included in last Sunday's newspaper circular. (I didn't ask any of the store workers about its absence).
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
They've revamped the DVD packaging. I've bought two blu rays over the last 2 - 3 months and there are two discs in there. You can't tell it. I don't have my blu rays in with my dvds yet, but I will when I buy VDT as I can't keep piling them up on my shelf. blu ray is considerably shorter and thinner than DVD, so it's going to look a bit odd. Ah well.
Skilletdude, my two pack dvd, was packaged differently than shown on pictures here on Narniaweb, (the pictured one was at the Family Christian Bookstore however). I would assume the content is the same though. And yes, it had DVD cases, two of them- one for the movie, and one for the family pack extras.
I had an old 2disc DVD case, great condition. So I just transferred the discs to that one so that I can have one two disc case rather than two separate cases.
Skilletdude, It was a large case that actually contained two cases inside, the one disc edition, and a seperate case with a second dvd.
For Those of You who were going to skip buying the two disc because of the cover!!!!
You may regret it, as I said above it really contains two cases so you can trash the two disc cover if you want. Also the Reep Easter basket thing was a sticker.

Ok... not entirely sure this is the best spot, but I am totally geeking out over the blu ray combo pack case! From a design perspective, except for the fact they used the half sail picture, it's incredible!
I went to our two local Walmarts today. One had a nice display case for VDT which was back to back with the one for Tangled. It was only 10:20am but it looked like some units were missing.
Later in the afternoon at the other Walmart there was no display for VDT that I could find. There were units on sale in a general sort of "recent releases" display case near one entrance and also in the movie section in the back. They also put a $5 bin in front of the display case near that entrance which almost blocked off one side of it.
I did purchase the 2 pack DVD and will watch VDT tomorrow.

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.
At the Wal-Mart I work at, we pretty much did away with the movie displays. They have a cube of new releases up front on the grocery side and I think there's a display for Tron on the GM side. Anyway, I'm not sure if we have the BluRay, but we do have the DVD version of VDT. I only sold one today. In contrast, the Tron DVDs seem to be moving fairly well.
I just watched VDT, and then watched PC after it. PC was pretty much a masterpiece. I still have my qualms, but the good really outweighed the bad. VDT was....well, you have to turn off your brain.

I myself love it as well; I'm not in any way pleased with the placement of the discs though. They're annoying and "risky" to remove from the package. The packaging itself though; yes, it's awesome and unique!
Ok, for those of you re-watching the movie on dvd, look for this particular moment: during the fight on the Lone Islands, you see Caspian jump from a high window, land, and give this bad guy the hugest slap I've ever seen in a movie. No weapon, no punch, just a big ol' slap across the face. It's like an enhanced marital abuse slap. It has a name in popular culture, but I'm not allowed to write it here.
Look for it. It's hilarious.
