I remember reading on another Narnia website from someone that was 'in the know' about the movies that the lamb would not be in the movie. It costed at least a few million dollars just for the lamb and that it would go over most people's heads anyways. I have to admit that it even went over my head up until recently, and I've read the books for 15 years - no, im not an atheist.

ok. just a thought. I have been avoiding spoilers. But I do come to this section for promotions and things that have been shown that I've seen.
Couldn't the title of this thread have been different? By it, I was spoiled- giving that the lion/lamb scene wouldn't be in THIS movie, and the hope of it being in ANOTHER.. Others might not want to know this yet either.
Now that I know, it is upsetting, but I can understand the cut.

Oh dear, I think you misunderstood.
There has been no official confirmation that the lamb to lion scene is or is not in the movie. This thread is merely speculation that perhaps they moved the scene to another movie.
well then, I hope you're right. The title makes it seem it was cut, and the first post says it straight- that it was cut. But I hope then that it's just speculation, and that it made it (even if the cut would make sense, as I mentioned above).

Well, the reason everybody has been speculating this is that one person who saw the movie said in their review that the lamb to lion scene was cut. But they also said that Gumpas the Governor was cut, which makes no sense, because Gumpas was oficially cast and we have pictures of him on set. So the trustworthiness of the review is debatable.
ah well, thanks for that info. I've only seen Tirian's spoiler free preview, and the first page of another. I don't know what to think of this review then, trust or not?
narnian1 I'm just speculating which is why I didnt put spoilers on the title.
Btw, if the scene is in the movie I would prefer them to make one change from the book. I would have Aslan transform from Lamb to Lion when he confronts Eustace for his undragoning. The symbolism fits that scene much more then at the end of the world when there really was no need for him to appear as a Lamb in the first place.

i think the lamb was probably just too much money. and i also agree, most people probably wouldn't have gotten it. I think the lion to lamb scene would be cool in HHB, as Aslan already turns into the cat that sleeps with Shasta the one night in the desert. I think it should be in that movie because then there will be two Aslan transformations, and it will be easier for the audience to understand that Aslan actually can, unlike Lilliandil , change form.

Well I was watching the BBC version again, and althought they didn't move the lamb, they moved the "There I have another name..." line, so I can see it being done- as long as FOX gives them the money to do it. What I don't get is why they just didn't use a real lamb, have them look away, then look back again and see Aslan... surely they could have at least done that...

Not upset here. I do not like sheep. I prefer lions. Lions are very intelligent higher mammals. Sheep are sheep. They are followers. They have herd mentality. At least goats are more independent- I do like goats. That, and I am allergic to wool.
They can do that scene at another movie. It is just another clue by four as to Aslan's secret identity.
I remember asking my best friend why the lamb served fish to the kids- if it was yet another hint with another symbol. She said it was an English thing. She was having a salmon omelette for breakfast and not liking it- which is what reminded me of this scene.
I think the lamb gave the children fish because Jesus fed his followers with fish.
