I was just thinking, a lot of people seem uspet that the scene where Aslan turns from a lamb to a lion at the end of the VotDT is not going to be in the movie. Some say it may ruin the spiritual themes.
But do you all think its possible to include it in another movie? I can see it taking place at the end of the Silver Chair when Aslan talks to Jill and Eustace, or in Archenland when Aslan talks to Shasta, or maybe even at the end of the Last Battle.

Actually if I remember correctly, I believe that in the BBC version the moved it to SC... So it's definitely a possibility. If they did it would probably work best in either SC or LB.

"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
Wait, we know for a fact that it won't be in the movie? That completely stinks.

^We haven't gotten word either way, the line is supposed to be in there when he says, in this world he has another name

The BBC TV Series had the Lamb scene in the correct place at the end of Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
I stand corrected, I remember them switching something from VDT to SC, maybe it was the line? I can't remeber when I go home I'll have to look at it again.

Well, I don't remember it being specificially said that it wasnt in the movie, but we have heard no reports on it.
I actually think the scene would work best in the Horse and His Boy movie (if that ever gets made). When Shasta, after escaping Rabadash and overhearing his plan to overthrow Archenland, runs into the woods and gets lost. In the movie he could be hungry or thirsty and then run into a lamb who offers him food and/or drink. Then the lamb turns into Aslan.

If it's not in this movie, I would prefer it most at the end of the Silver Chair.
"I'm a beast I am, and a Badger what's more. We don't change. We hold on. I say great good will come of it... And we beasts remember, even if Dwarfs forget, that Narnia was never right except when a son of Adam was King." -Trufflehunter
Wait who says it will not be in movie????? IT better be in the movie because i will cry if not But it could be possible they would move it to another movie, but who said it was not in the movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If its out of the movie my guess would be that the film makers didn't understand the significane of the lamb. After all the basic plot carries on without that scene. *sigh* But it is so important thematically.
If its not in this movie I wouldn't mind seeing it in another movie, but I doubt that will happen. If they don't understand it here, why would they go to the trouble of putting it in another movie? I would love to see that though. Good thinking Josh.

I'd be okay if they moved the lamb to another movie. Perhaps they will use the lamb who questioned Shift in LB about how Tash and Aslan were the same? But if they never had the transformation, I'd still live.
Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.
It is a significant symbolic image in the scene, but unfortunately it's one that's very hard to translate from book to screen. A lamb transforming into a lion would look very strange, no matter how good the effects are, and since Aslan has always appeared as a lion and never as anything else, the filmmakers might fear that viewers would be confused.
Honestly, I thought it was a little weirdly random in the book, even understanding the symbolism. In a movie aimed at a largely non-Christian audience, I think more people would be confused than would get it.
