[Closed] Could someone explain the "VDT leaked script"?

I haven't followed VDT as closely as many NarniaWebbers have, so I only have a vague idea of what the "leaked script" included. I googled it, but most of the images of the script were blocked (what..?).

Is there anyone who could lead me to it, or at least tell me a long summary on what the pages included? Thanks.

I never saw this leaked script but what I heard from a few people who have said that some of the following inside the script is in some of the footage and spoilers to the plotline.

IDK I wish I could have seen it though :(

I never saw the leaked script either, but I read a summary and it sounded very disconcerting. :-s (Especially now that the movie seems to be including various elements.)

It included details such as Lucy getting caught on the rudder of the Dawn Treader, Trumpkin and Cornelius being on the ship, Lucy having a crush on Caspian, a battle against the slavers, Caspian dreaming of a star girl, foreshadowing of the Lady of the Green Kirtle, and if I understand, some sort of monster on the Lone Islands, etc.

However, we know that the Lady of the Green Kirtle is not in the movie, and Trumpkin and Cornelius are not on the ship. The trailer at the Biola conference showed a star shooting through the sky, so it sounds like the star girl references may be on track. This was a script that I think was leaked a few years ago, so I'm certain a lot has changed since then.

Well, I still have it, but I doubt the production would like if someone posted it, especially since we now know that many ideas have carried over into the final film.

That "leaked script" surfaced in in June 2008. Sat through a reading of it with the Admins of NarniaWeb, The Lions Call, and Narnifans during LionCon. It was, at the very least, interesting - for some folks it was disastrous. The document wont be shared at NarniaWeb, NarniaFans, or The Lion's Call.

I am not really concerned over the matter now. Kristi, Admin for The Lion's Call, has seen and reported on the super trailer from the Biola Media Conference. If there were any major issues, she would not hesitate to state so. Kristi and Dearheart appeared to both heartily approve of what is coming in December. :D Tirian and Spector (Paul Martin, Admin of NarniaFans) have seen similar footage and are very impressed.

Are there changes from the book? Yep. :-ss How will this affect you? That is entirely your choice. ;))

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”

An official statement from the production...

There was a lot of concern when an early draft of the Dawn Treader script leaked, but we were able to obtain an official statement from the production for everyone. Firstly, they are "really deeply sorry for any disquiet or emotional discomfort that this occurrence may have brought about and... are working to try to prevent this sort of thing from ever happening again." Secondly, "these pages were indeed illicitly released, though not, we think from any malice on the part of any member of our team." Thirdly, "the pages were from a very early experimental draft which should in fact never have been seen by anyone outside of a very small group of Producers."

We have also received an official statement from the production that the Lady of the Green Kirtle will be making no appearance in this movie and neither will the soul eating cave.

And having said that, I'm going to go ahead and close this thread.
