In one of the articles about the critics who saw 30 minutes of the movie,(look here for the Narniaweb story: http://www.narniaweb.com/2010/10/more-sneak-peek-reports-are-sailing-in/), one of the viewers when talking about specific scnes said "After this we see the group(along with a now human Eustace) in a huge banquet hall where a beautiful princess invites them to dine while three of the lost lords of Narnia are in an enchanted sleep at one end of the long table."
According to the movie storybook, Eustace was still a dragon when the crew met Lilliandil at Ramandu's Island and that he fought the sea serpant AFTER the crew left Ramandu's Island to travel to Dark Island.
But this report says Eustace is a human at the time they see Lilliandil and discover the sleeping lords.
So which is more likely to be true? And if Eustace is indeed a human at Ramandu's Island, how would he go back to Dragon form when battling the sea serpant?
The report I'm reffering to can be found here: http://wearemoviegeeks.com/2010/10/narnia-3-scenes-previewed/

It's probably talking about when they return to Ramandu's island with the seven swords. Not when they first arrive and are told about the swords.

But do they return? If I remember correctly, they go to Aslan's Country after the defeat of Dark Island, not back to Ramandu's Isand. Or is that just in the book?
Winter Is Coming
^^ They'll have to return. It's because of the whole Seven Swords thing (which was added, and not in the book either). The first time they're at Ramandu's Island, they're told they have to collect 7 swords and bring them back to the table at the island.
Oh, and they do return to the island in the book, but it's after Lucy, Ed, and Eustace return home, so it's not shown.

Maybe Eustace does get undragoned before Ramandu's Island, then when he goes on Dark Island, his nightmare is becoming a dragon again. Then when he goes into dragon form he fights the serpant.
Aggh! This is so confusing!
Winter Is Coming
While I have not read the movie storybook, if you read the report linked, the author says that dragon-Eustace and Reep fight the sea serpent while at Dragon Island.
Up next is a scene after Eustace has been transformed into a dragon because of his greed and he and the mouse talk on a moonlight beach. In the next scene the two join forces to fight a sea serpent that attacks the ship.
The language of the review indicates that Ramandu's Island is after the un-dragoning of Eustace.
After this we see the group(along with a now human Eustace) in a huge banquet hall where a beautiful princess invites them to dine while three of the lost lords of Narnia are in an enchanted sleep at one end of the long table.
I take from these two excerpts that Eustace's dragon adventures remain contained to Dragon Island, with the sea serpent battle being moved to Dragon Island rather than the open ocean (which allays my fears about the dragon-Eustace/sea serpent battle).

It doesn't mean that they don't meet Ramandu's daughter on his island. They could very well meet her before hand with the way the storyline appears to be shaping up. Would make for an interesting twist. With all the spoilers we have, we still don't have all the information about the timeline. (Especially if you're avoiding the most spoilered of spoilers like me. )
It's probably talking about when they return to Ramandu's island with the seven swords. Not when they first arrive and are told about the swords.

thats true they could be talking about that!!!!! thats probably the most realistic conclusion!
I think we're just going to have to see the movie to find out

Maybe the storybook changed the order of events to make it seem like the battle took place at the end of the movie.
If the Dark Island/Green Mist appears throughout the movie, maybe its possible that it surrounds the ship as the crew are trying to leave Dragon Island. Then out of the darkness, emerges the sea serpant. Dragon Eustace (who was being left behind), then tries to save the crew from the serpant and ends up getting defeated. Then, alone and injured, he gets saved by Aslan (on Dragon Island) and afterwords either the crew kills the serpant or Aslan does.
Then once the serpant is defeated, they pick up human Eustace and go to Ramandu's Island where Lilliandil says they need the final sword to defeat the darkness permanently. They go to Dark Island to get the sword and there they have a run in with the White Witch. They then get the sword, dispose of the Witch, and return to Ramandu's Island where they place the swords at Aslan's table where "only then can there true power be released!". The Dark Island then dissapears and the Lord's awaken. And then since the enchantment is dissolved I assume Caspian and Lilliandil kiss...but thats irrelevant to the topic.
Winter Is Coming
The spoilers are actually giving me more questions that answers. Liberty Hoffman, I agree that we will just have to see the film!

Keeper of the Secret Magic
I see what Josh is saying but from all the reports I think this is going to be what happens.
They go to Ramandu's Island and (this is before they kill the sea serpent) get the info that they can only destroy the WW and the Green Mist by the last sword so they go to the Dark Island to get it. They go to the DI and the sea serpent appears. Dragon Eustace defeats the sea serpent and then he gets changed back into a boy. The WW apears and tries to get the last sword from Edmund. But he doesn't give it to her, and they go back to RD's Island. The enchantment is lifted and the three lords awake.
Based on what I've seen, I'd say this reviewer saw some other character and in the dark thought it was Eustace.
Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.
^You might be right, Dinode. Or the crew could return to Ramandu's Island after they have defeated the Dark Island and Eustace has become a boy again. Like Liberty Hoffman said, we'll just have to wait and see what really happens. But oh, the agony!
