It looks like more than a shadow to me, but I agree that if you are not looking for it when you're watching the clip, you won't see it.

Maybe it's just a Narnian creature, like a badger or something, if Eustace is looking right at it, and doesn't seem frightened at it at all...

Pause the video at 7 seconds and "draw" a straight line across to the right side, starting at Eustace's shoulder. Your eyes should connect with the shadow. Then replay the video and look in that spot (You can see the shadow moving and a hint of a black thing in the corner).

Does that help?

Edit: If you pause it at exactly 6 seconds, you can see the shadow just as clearly. When I did so, I even managed to pause it with a hint of the Thing on the screen.

*Edit Ok I think I (finally) saw it. 6 and 7 secs right? It does apear to move and its shape kind of reminds me of a dragons head disapearing beyond the screen and then its tail appearing and falling in the same location behind the rock.

As to whether it is a dragon, an illusion, a shadow, or something else- I have no idea.

I got the screenshots!!!! It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the black thing definitely is moving...

If it is a dragon, though, Fox wouldn't want to show us. I mean, it is subtle, and most people would miss it, but we didn't!

Maybe. But they did make the clip so that it only got a little bit of it. Maybe they thought that no one would be able to see it. I mean, if you look at the sceenshots, there's only about a millimeter of it.
Plus, from what you can see of it, you can't tell what it is. It doesn't give anything away. After all, it could very well be a dragon, and we still wouldn't know it. So it's not like any secret has escaped... Maybe they wanted everyone to see it, to wonder what it is. Like a sort of teaser shot.

I'm not sure what you mean. You mean like a cloud's shadow??

The object is near the ground, on the side, to the right, almost level with Eustace's shoulder. It looks solid, and is moving.

Well, I'm not sure if it could be a cloud. Like I said, it looks pretty solid. And it's moving the way an animal moves.
