What do you think is occurring in the Cleveland Point Filming - "Bang!" video? I personally, think this is when the Sea Serpent attacks the Dawn Treader. If so, I think they will go back in Post-Production and make it look like it is really happening at night, as they did for many scenes in the Prince Caspian movie.
What do you think?

I think it might be the serpent as well.....I can't think of what else it would be. or maybe they hit something else in a part that's not from the book......?

That's true, the way Drinian falls.... I mean, maybe they crashed into a rock, or maybe they just arrived on a beach and didnt see that they were approaching it (which would be awkward..)

I may be wrong about this, but I don't think it's the dragon. Certainly not Dragon-Eustace. Because, if you listen very carefully, Edmund is shouting out to Eustace, looking behind him. It is unclear exactly what Ed is saying, but the "Eustace" part is almost definitely there. As for what I think it is, I think it's the serpent.
I will reject your reality and substitute it with my own, because eternity is an awfully long time to be wrong.
Proud supporter of The Chronicles of Narnia the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and all that is in it!
NO FEAR, NO RETREAT!
^ Oh really? So now the question is, is he talking to Eustace the human or Eustace the dragon?

yeah, watching it again, it must be the serpent!
I think he's talking to the human Eustace.....

The bang could be that Eustace as a dragon was thrown into the ships side during the battle with the serpent or the serpent trying to knock over the Dawn Treader. I really don't know. Whatever it is it's still going to be good!

Interesting that nobody has mentioned the posssibility of a cannon ball exploding. Who knows whether or not pirates will be allowed to do a bit more than is in the book?

There is definitely no "a" in definite.

Good point. After all, if the telmarines had more advanced technology in the form of their war machines, mightn't gunpowder be invented in this one? I always thought it would be interesting if in one of the movies, like the Last Battle for instance, guns or cannons were brought in. What if that's how the caloremans took Cair Paravel?

I never imagined the Dawn treader with canons though. Perhaps the movie wanted to add some. That'll be interesting. I always thought that it was the sea serpent attacking the ship.

I never imagined it with cannons either, I was thinking about other ships. Not that I think that is likely either. Your thought is the most likely, but for all we know it could have been an accident on set.

I think the bang was from the sea serpent, since in reminds me a bit of when they spot moving rocks in the book. Maybe they hit the serpent, and they think it was a rock, or something like that. Whatever the bang was for, though, it must be important!
