The location in NZ where the children emerged from the railway station onto the beach in PC, is having some work done.
This is minor news so I haven't posted it as a news item. Just thought you might like to see it.

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
That's pretty cool. I really liked the scenery in PC when the children arrived a lot, and the train exiting out of it was a nice touch.
I like this bit:
The cave was closed in April last year because of falling rock, and yesterday the geotechnical specialists assessed the risk of more falls, "scaling" loose rock inside and out.
...remembering the scene immediately before they emerge from the cave/tunnel - with bricks and tiles falling off the walls of the railway, etc!

I love that scene so much and as you, coracle mentioned, I also made the connection of the crumbling train station when reading that part. Cathedral Cove truly has something so Narnian about it and that makes it all the more a magical place. It's why I chose a beautiful picture of the cove for my signature.
We have nothing, if not belief.

I hope the repairs go well!
Yeah, that was a cool scene
