It does everyone credit to think of sailing back to Ramandu's Island for a wedding, but seriously, do you think the filmmakers will let Caspian get off the island and head eastward without RD in tow? Does anyone rember how narrowly we escaped having Arwen at the battle of Helm's Deep???
Realistically, if there is a wedding scene (which would be nice in some form since I'd like to see marriage itself honored and celebrated) I think RD will be there for the climax and shortly thereafter Drinian (ship's captain, remember) will marry them.

If there is going to be a wedding then I hope that they show scenes of C/RD with time passing by on the island so we can see them grow in love before showing a wedding scene. I want to see their love for each other and not in Suspian fashion only based on good looks. I want to see an actual story behind C/RD as to why they are in love and nothing spontaneous.

Ahhh, the kiss Those were good times.....
I'm sure the filmmakers had RD in mind as they planned the scene. Hence having Susan initiate it. She had the kiss, but his hug back was so sweet, I had a spontaneous "awwwww." That was real.
Perhaps they'll reference the kiss: Lucy will mention her, and Caspian's response will show how he's over it. Or maybe they'll be lame and have him pining over her the whole movie and then RD will knock him off his feet I can just imagine them doing that, and I'd be sooooo ticked.
But I would love to show the wedding, a fairytale ending for them. With a good kiss this time, and no one can protest it But I like the idea of showing it during the credits.

I will be ticked then a tick if that is ever crossed into the movie. It's been years since Caspian moved on and gotten older, Susan is still a child and immature. It would look weird and would be completely cliche. I hope it never comes down to that with Caspian moping around before meeting RD, complete cad he will turn out to be. I will say that I do want Caspian to have his moments in wanting to find some one and giving a sense that he is 100 percent over Susan. Nothing started off with them in the first place so he shouldn't be heartbroken.

I really think that Andrew, Ben, and Anna, were unfairly criticized, Susipian. Andrew made perfect sense like he said, they are both attractive, and it would make sense for them to be attracted to each other. He never made it out to be a soulmate thing, it was just an attraction. I bet people experience many attractions before they find the One.
I don't mind Susipian, and have read some good fanfics (yea I'm a geek )
And I'm not a book purist, seeing as I haven't read all the books, so from the average movie goer perspective, it really doesn't matter. I know it's not the cast or the crew's intention to insult C. S. Lewis, when they change something. And like someone else said, some things work better for a movie (NOT on all occasions though) than it does for a book. I think Prince Caspian was unfairly criticized. I don't think Susipian will hurt anything for VOTD, for Caspian/RD romance, or the average movie goer.
As for the wedding scene, I hope it's long, like the coronation in the first movie, it think it would be really sweet, I hate just getting a glimpse.

What you said right there is exactly why it bombed. You cant make a romance story without a background plot for a movie. Ben and Anna are actors so is millons of other people. it's no excuse to ruin characters like that because two people are attractive. Adamson's way was by opinion that wasn't thought out properly. Okay they like each other based on looks, not 1. personality 2. chemistry 3. They didn't know anything about each other.
I feel Caspian and RD are going to be better because they have an actual plot in their story and their love for each other is more natural it's true love.
Can we please stop talking about Suspian. It's ancient history, stupid, and never coming back.

I agree about Caspian/RD's romance, it is true love, and I never said that Susipian was better, it was just simply an attraction. That's how most relationships start though, an attraction, what follows tells if it's real love or not, but all the same, initually an attraction. And I don't see how it ruins the characters. I still really do believe that there was no reason for Andrew and the others to be criticized like they were.
But yes, I think Caspian and RD will be a good love story, looking forward to seeing that.. and the wedding (if they actually show it.)

You bring up Suspian a lot yourself some days though. You tend to post frequently about how to blow it out of the water and show that RD, I mean Lilliandil , is Caspian's true love. You are, of course, not the only one. By this comparison I would assume some Narniawebbers feel Lilaspian is threatened by Suspian. So in discussing such matters as the wedding and romance of Lilaspian, some may think it important to mention Suspian as they think it may affect the the current situation. It is my humble opinion that it is completely appropriate to discuss some aspects of Suspian in this thread. We all have our views and all of us on the forum must learn to put up with them whether we agree or not.
Amat thank you very much! You are correct! People do usually find more than one person they like before they find The One. Suspian = not a big deal in the long run. Lilaspian = the real deal. No problems there. Simple math.
Completely agree, AslanIsOnTheMove, Susipian is no big deal.
(If this is straying from the topic, or if someone's already asked, mods let me know ) What do yall think the wedding and ceremony (if they show it) will be like, color wise?
I think besides white, there will be red and gold. Hopefully some Telmarine colors as well.

I'm hoping if a wedding is shown it's a diverse tradition like in the BBC series where they bond hands together and a sacred thread is wrapped around their wrists. I hope they kiss too. The red and gold sounds great too Amat and I hope they match outfits.

Can't take credit for the red/gold idea, but I do love it. That would be awesome if they matched Jill. Hope they do the sacred thread, like you said.

I can't speak for others, but I never criticized Anna and Ben. They were just doing their jobs. Unless Adamson tried to get them to do something illegal, their contracts pretty much insure they have to go along with his whims, no matter how ill-conceived they might be. As for Adamson, his reasoning is pure rubbish. Do you go around kissing every attractive person of the opposite gender you spot? If you don't think Susaspian (a fairly major deviation from the book) was a reason to criticize Adamson, then what are we allowed to criticize him for?

I know that this seems off topic but what could Adamson make them both do that is something illegal in the parts that they portrayed?

I was just making the point that actors don't get to pick and choose what happens in the story. They perform the part handed to them and get a paycheck. They refuse to perform, they're breaking their contract which is probably something that can land them in a courtroom. It's pretty much not their fault that Susaspian was inflicted on us, so there's no sense in blaming them.
Yes of course I never blamed the actors just the production and idea of it not being properly thought out but anyways moving on.
Question: If there is to be a wedding scene between Caspian/RD where would you want it to take place? At the island or at the site where Cair Paravel is being rebuilt.
To me it would look cool on the beach with Cair Paravel being rebuilt a few miles away from them as they are getting married.
