I loved the brother thing and how they both regretted the fight and how they were always by each other's side.

I thought the Ed-Caspian friendship was well done. it was basicly the same as it was in the book.
Welcome to Narniaweb, Promise 777!
I'm glad everyone loved the friendship between Caspian and Edmund as much as I did. And I probably won't say anything new in this post, but since I loved the friendship development so much, I thought I'd post anyway. Definently every scene with Caspian and Edmund together was amazing. I loved how they got locked up together on the Lone Islands, and then the development in general throughout the movie. I was kinda hoping for a friendship like this, since you can kinda see them trying to bring the friendship out a little in PC.
This may sound strange, but I even liked the Deathwater scene. First of all, I feel like both Ben and Skandar nailed the mood of that scene pretty much straight from the book. Secondly, I liked that scene because they didn't let it ruin their friendship. The minute they are brought to their senses, they're immediately friends again.
Obviously one of my favorite scenes was the one in Caspian's cabin when he tells Edmund that he thinks of him as a brother, etc. And then the hug at the end tops the entire friendship. I think the two other points when the friendship really really shines is when Edmund thinks that Eustace has died and then later, in the battle against the sea serpant, when Caspian and Lucy think that the serpant has eaten Ed.

I loved their friendship! the friendly sparring scene was cute and the ending scene between them was soooo sweet!
one thing I feel is a bit funny(though it probabally shouldn't be) is after Caspian says he sees Edmund as his brother and Edmund just says "me too" because (from the LWW movie commentary) it sounds just like the kinda thing Skandar would say, just to throw that in there!

I really enjoyed the friendship between Edmund and Caspian. It made up in a way for the lack of friendship and respect between Peter and Caspian. Both Ben Barnes and Skandar Keynes are very good actors and the happy result was that their characters' friendship was very convincing. They played off each other very well especially in the scene after Gold Water when Caspian offers to help Edmund look for Eustace. You could tell both of them were trying to make up for what had just happened before.
@ georgiefan1, I thought that scene was funny too but for different reasons. It sounded like Edmund was saying "Me too" as in "I'm like a brother to me too."
"Even a traitor may mend. I have known one that did."
New here. =D
Speaking of the friendship, I was really touched by it. It almost gave me tears. I love how Caspian calls Edmund "Ed" few times in the movie and them hugging each other at the end. (Actually the last scene made me wanna cry, I don't like partings )
I loved the friendship they built up between the two throughout the movie, especially in contrast to the fighting between Caspian and Peter last film. It was really well done, and there were quite a few scenes that really moved me. I felt like cheering when Caspian gave Ed Rhindon to fight with- that was really sweet.
I stand with the Lord at my side, always.

I loved their friendship! My absolutely favorite scene was at the end. It made me cry. I'm so happy that Caspian, Lucy, and Edmund reunite forever in the Last Battle. Everybody did an amazing job with this movie and Ben and Skandar were great! Has my support.

welcome to the forum! I'm new around here too, so if we're in the same boat, we might as well call it the Dawn Treader and sail to Narnia, no? (okay, that sounded kinda lame, but hey! I tried! )
I'm glad to have found a thread for this, I absolutely loved Edmund and Caspian's friendship in the film! Ben and Skandar really had my attention throughout as far as acting, and on the other hand, Caspian and Edmund captured my attention as far as characters go, especially in the swordfighting scene on deck (considering that was the worst day of Skandar's life, haha) and the scene towards the end when Caspian is giving his speech right before they enter Dark Island. and then of course the famous hug/"you're like a brother to me" bits as well. they were all brilliant!
proud new owner of a shiny silver torch. beholding the wonder as you read this.
I agree that Caspian and Edmund's friendship was likely one of the moving friendships in VDT (under Eustace and Reep, course). In PC, although it's not important, when Edmund looks and Caspian when he stands up at the river, I thought it was a sweet hint that maybe the two would later on they'd be great friends. Now that, I'm happy to know happened in VDT!
I love how throughout the movie you see these two really bond (unlike Caspian and Peter ever did ). I've only seen the movie once, but I liked the Goldwater scene and afterwards where I felt a slight strain between the two. Caspian was very compassionate to Ed when he thought Eustace had died, and I love when they called eachother "brothers!"
The end scene where they hug was very heartwarming and emotional, and I agree with Amat that it'll be great to see the two reunite! Two thumbs up for Caspian and Edmund's friendship!
Newbie right here!
I agree with Shastafan and the others 100%!
I wish there was a bit more of the friendship fluff; they're probably was it's just I didn't see it. The first time I watched the movie one of my friends called me (phone was on vibrate and I had to walk outside) saying she was in the ER with a tore ACL and the second time I watch it I was with 20 people (youth group) and everyone was talking to me.
