For starters, I find it ironic that the very studio he did not like produced the first two films.
I think the main concern with bringing Aslan to the screen is not what he looks like, but rather how he is portrayed. For example:

To Jane Douglass, 19 June 1954, 491:

I am sure you understand that Aslan is a divine figure, and anything remotely approaching the comic (above all anything in the Disney line) would be to me simple blasphemy.

A certain scene in LWW comes to mind where Peter and Aslan have a laugh over Beaver being turned into a hat. Now, I do not mean that Aslan should not have a sense of humor, but that moment takes away from Aslan's greatness. Instead of Him knowing all about Peter, He got His information second-hand from Mr. Beaver. Also, several of His lines in PC were dumbed down so that He is no longer portrayed as omnipresent and omniscient. I know not everyone agrees with me on that point, but I'll say it anyway. Aslan is no longer Aslan. He did not bring the spring, the children did. Which leads me to the conclusion that C.S.Lewis was right, Aslan can not be done on film. I think it is possible, but Hollywood would have to have no part in it.

^^I agree. The movies made him seem insignificant. He was hardly in PC at all! It's kinda sad...maybe I'll try and make the movies some day :p
