Worst:
1. I didn't like the part in the end battle were the gryphons carry the dwarves who shoot on the Telmarine army. Cause it's to similiar to the first movie (where they drop rocks).
2. Caspian who goes to Miraz' bedroom. Quiet a dumb decision.
3. Caspian coming to Susan's rescue was a bit cliché.
Best:
1. I did like Duel between Miraz and Peter. Well choreographed and intense.
2. Caspian escaping the castle. Brings you right in the mood for the film, beautiful music.
3. Entrance to Narnia, beautiful scenes, the beach and ruïnes. I liked they shot a lot on location for this movie.
Was a great film, a shame it didn't make more. Best movie of 2008 in my opinion.
PC has such a well rounded & complete narrative through-out virtually the entire film, that it is difficult to keep absolute best bits down to three.
Best:
1. Lucy Dream sequence after falling asleep around fire. Maybe most magical moments in the entire Narnia films to date. Aslan & Narnia become one & Georgia is off course perfect in her amazing fit to Lucy in this film - oh the potential unfulfilled in the character scope given to her for VODT!
2. Caspian meeting the Narnian's at the Dancing Lawn night conference. Just watch the sequences, enough said.
3. The summoning of the White Witch. Perfectly done and great narrative transition in one of the main layered story arcs going through the film.
Honorable mention to Caspian leading the Pevensies deep into
Aslan's howl for the first time; also going to start when Pevensies discover Cair Paravel for first time and back throne room with their memorabilia. But really, one could go on...
Worst:
After Peter/Miraz duel and climax film literally loses the plot for a good few minutes in epic way.
1. The underground caverns & extended battle. I mean, it even has to be counted in, literally... film really loses it's until then impeccable narrative thrust, and goes from great heights to draggin in very short space. Battle narrative itself is hokeyish, in contrast to rest of film even if for most part well shot & choreographed.
Fortunately for dvd (at least with mine) just when the catapults start slinging rocks at the Narnians & before the caverns, if you click chapter skip you have a pretty seamless cut to Lucy finding Aslan in the forest. Then when finally cuts back to battle, it is at end of battle skirmish which still makes sense in viewing as fighting has been going on while with Lucy & Aslan.
Have fantastic moment between Caspian & General. Then the trees, (the trees were awesome i though, -& much better than LOTR'S tress - If only more screen time for magical trees going hard core Narnia would have been right way to up the ante in EPIC!) & film hasn't skipped a beat in it's narrative thrust that it has involved me in for last good part of two hour high class fantasy family story telling.
Worst
1. The whole subway scene. It looked wrong, cast a bad light on Peter, and looked a bit cheesy; especially the whole fight scene.
2. Almost every scene with Peter. It's amazing how they ruined Peter's character and made it completely opposite to what it is in the book
3. I think that the crowning scene was lacking. It was a bit too short. I also really didn't like Caspian's crown. Somehow in LWW the crowns looked a lot better. Caspian's crown looked as if it was going to fall off is head. It just made him look geeky.
Best
1. I really like the transition into Narnia. I have to say that their lines are cheesy, but the idea was really cool with the train coming in and the tunnel blows away. I never really understood how they got into Narnia when reading the book. But the movie made a really nice version.
2. I love the scene when Lucy starts fighting Nickabrick and then Trumpkin saves her. Amazingly, that part stood out to me when I first watched the film. I thought it was so cute.

Best.
1) The Pevensies entering Aslan's How for the first time all the way through them seeing the Stone table and Lucy's line. "He must know we he's doing." The echo from LWW at the stone table.
2) Susan and Lucy speaking by the fire all the way through Lucy's dream.
3) The Pevensies in the ruins of Cair Paravel walking around finding the chess piece and then finding the treasure room.
4) The night raid.
Things i dislike.
1) The Peter/Miraz duel. Talk about a let down.
2) Susan/Caspian kiss. Caspian starring at Susan in all scenes. Susan backing up Caspian in all scenes. Hate all of that.
3) Susan holding back and not killing the bear to save Lucy instead of having that scene happen very quickly like it did in the book where she just gets out shot by the dlf.
4) The line from Lucy where she says to Peter "maybe we need to prove ourselves to him" talking about Aslan. Aslan's divinity problem all over again.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
Worst:
1) The kiss.
2) Edmunds flyover after the nightraid
3) Peter and Caspian's fight
Best:
1) The final Battle. Particularly loved the underground parts, the trees, and the river.
2) When they realize they're at Cair Paravel/ the treasure chamber scene
3) When Aslan restores Reep's tail
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
Best:
1. Lucy dream sequence/waking. The cinematography was beautiful and the aftermath with the woods dull and lifeless was great.
2. The Cair Paravel ruins. I don't really have anything to say about this scene except that I like it. Although they did figure everything out really fast.
3. The end of the Night Raid where Peter realizes what he's done. And then Glozelle's son nods to his father and turns around to fight nobly to his death. *sniff* That caused an unexpected emotional reaction which is what good movies should do.
Worst:
Um, everything else? Okay, just three:
1. The duel. It just went on and on and on. And I didn't like Peter so I really didn't care whether or not he won or was injured or anything.
2. Peter. Arrogance much? I just couldn't like him and so much of the movie was carried by him. The only time I liked him was already mentioned as best #3.
3. Suspian. 'Nuff said.
Best:
1. The carvings in Aslan's How: This is the essence of PC in a nutshell. It captured the book exactly for me. I love the moment when it shows the image of Tumnus. The weirdness of the fact that we got to know Tumnus in LWW... and now he is carving on the wall. A figure out of their bedtime stories.
2. Lucy's dream: Brilliant adaptation. Captured the sadness of the old days being gone and the longing for their return, but in a more visual way.
3. Reepcheep's introduction: This is probably only making the list because I'm such a big fan of the books.... But I can't help but cheer when Reep shouts "Choose your last words carefully, Telmarine!" A true stand-up-and-clap moment for fans.
Worst:
1. The kiss: Besides just being poorly developed and pretty stupid, it throws a wrench into everything Lewis was doing with PC. If Caspian's awe of the Pevensies had been firmly and powerfully established, this might not have been so bad. The dialogue here is just awful. Susan is NOT 1300 years older than Caspian. And even if she was, that would not make the line any less cheesy. Perhaps worst of all, this is basically the last thing that happens in the entire movie. It almost ruins the ending.
2. Caspian Rescuing Susan: Where do I begin? First, they place this scene right in the middle of the single combat, spoiling the momentum. Second, it's pointless. Susan goes in a circle. What was the point of having Susan leave the How at all? Third, Susan kills like five soldiers and Caspian kills one...and yet they play him up like the hero. Fourth...where the heck did Caspian come from?
3. Caspian/Peter arguing after the Night Raid: I understand what the filmmakers were going for, in terms of both the film and as an adaptation. There were short tempers in the book after losing the crucial battle, and a degree of frustration is perfectly understandable. The execution was wrong. It made Peter and Caspian look very childish.
Best:
the Pevensies entering Narnia
the duel with Peter and Miraz (and the battle that follows)
everything else in the movie (except Suspian)
Worst
Caspian and Susan's kiss. oh my poor head! it's so unfortunate to have that be the last thing before the Pevensies return back to their world and it makes Caspian look like a lovesick idiot.

Best:
1. The Pevensies realize that they are in Cair Paravel. It's very moving and sentimental, and the camera work is really good.
2. When they discover the treasure room. They really seem like kings and queens again, especially when Peter looks at the picture of Aslan and his statue.
3. I kind of didn't like that the Night Raid was in there, and some of the Caspian stuff was cheesy, but I thought it was a creative battle. When Glenstorm realized he had to leave his sons behind to die, it was very emotion which I like a lot. I also liked that the minotaur was kind of a small hero, especially since I think minotaurs are really cool creatures and they looked good.
Worst:
1. Global warming- aaaaaah!!! None of the Suspian references were good.
2. Peter arguing with Caspian. I'm sure we all agree that Peter was too stuck up and arrogant, especially for a person that had already matured and grown up once. It definitely didn't work for his character, especially when he was tempted by the witch. She almost killed him and his family! Why would anyone trust her again?
3. When Reepicheep says "shut up!" to Pattertwig. It was funny, I just didn't think it went with his character. I can't imagine the Reepicheep from the book actually saying shut up to anyone. It makes me cringe.
Worst:
1. All of Peter's Arrogance - starting from way back in the subway in London and moving on to his horrible interactions with Caspian. Peter's whole character development was wrong, besides the fact that he did a poor job acting it.
2. The Attack on the Castle. All wrong, all wrong, all wrong. Caspian's obsession with finding out what happened to his father, Peter's arrogance, even just the fact that they were attacking the castle was just dumb. And weakly portrayed.
3. Suspian. Now, I don't necessarily know if this is one of the worst things in the movie as a whole, but I do know that for me it was a terrible letdown. When the scene led up to the kiss, I hid my head in my hood and backed down behind the seat in front of me. I couldn't watch it.
Best:
1. The Chase Scene - Although I questioned the fact that the soldiers were actually chasing him, I did think it was enthralling and was entranced by the movie right from the beginning. The next scene brought a heavy disappointment which was then followed by another and another until by the end of the movie I was completely dissatisfied, but the whole beginning and chase scene was cool.
2. The Calling of the White Witch. Even though in the book they don't actually call up the White Witch, I thought this was an interesting little twist. These are the kinds of things that can be changed in a book when making a movie. It's when you get to revising the major morals that everything gets screwed up.
Generally, I was very disappointed with the movie as a whole. It started out good, but then every little thing was like "ouch...ouch...no, not that...no, oh please...ah...oh, NO!!" until the end I was so disappointed I wouldn't talk to anyone. After second viewings I got a more positive view on it...still disappointing, though.

Worst: Just a few little things.
1. Susans line "Brace yourselves!!" and "Archers to the ready!". She sounds ridiculous.
2. Peters character ark.
3. Susan throwing arrow through armor. xDD
Best:
1. Well, as a sucker for romance, Suspian, though it wasn't super well done.
2. Pevensies getting into Narnia.
3. Edmund.
As you can see, I really like the movie.

Best:
The Pevensies' entrance into Narnia....exploring old Cair Paravel ruins (but this could also be a worst because they didn't spend enough time developing that scene as they did in the book). Plus they used a subway instead of a real train platform.
Reepicheep's meeting with Caspian in the woods. All Reep moments in this movie.
The Pevensies meeting Trumpkin, especially letting Edmund have a real go at displaying his swordfighting skill as part of trying to convince Trumpkin of their true identity.
Worst:
Peter's "brain" transplant
Giving the Telemarines Latin/Spanish accents....it didn't seem to "fit" my idea of what Telemarines should sound like and took me out of the movie....
Suspian
The night raid--completely unnecessary.

"Best":
1. "The Door in the Air" and farewell. I really like the setup with the tree at the edge of the cliff and how it brings about the "leap of faith". But, my absolute favorite shots in this scene are where Aslan speaks to Susan and Peter. This is one scene where the CG on Aslan looks amazing. I also like the fact that we don't hear what Aslan says to Peter and Susan, that it is a private/personal discussion.
2. Entrance into Narnia. The visuals are stunning and I enjoy the fact that the tunnel of the train station changes into the cave in Narnia. The slowing down of this scene also works nicely. It's as though the world has slowed down and only the Pevensies are aware of what is happening. The description in the book isn't very visual in terms of translation to film, but this scene works really well without being silly or corny.
3. Susan and Lucy's dialogue around the campfire. It's just one of those personal character scenes that sticks out in my mind. With the big action and battle scenes that always turn up, it's nice to see a slower paced scene that gets at the heart of the characters.
"Worst":
1. The not so subtle cues to Caspian and Susan's relationship- Caspian rescuing Susan in the wood, the kiss, and choice editing in the How (after "Sorcery and Sudden Vengeance"). Caspian "rescuing" Susan is just a run around scene. I like the fact that Susan risks her life so that Lucy can continue on without any Telmarine soldiers following, but if she's back to the battle a few seconds later, what was the point? And where the heck does Caspian come from, can we say stalker much? Not to mention Susan takes out most of the soldiers herself. Looks to me like she doesn't really need any help, "Mr. Knight-in-shining armor". The kiss is pointless, I skip it every time I watch the film.
2. Aslan at Beruna Bridge. My main issue here is the visual effects. I like the fact that Aslan's roar is terrible and that it sends waves across the river, but Aslan himself does not appear believable. I cringe every time I see it. It's a scene where I am completely taken out of the film because of the unbelievable visuals.
3. Caspian and Peter's feuds for leadership. It seemed very improper for two kings. I can't say I blame Nikabrik for trying to seek help from the White Witch- when one sees the great High King Peter of old and Caspian the new king bicker at one another, one can't help but wonder about Narnia's future left in these two's hands. Also, there's no real scene that shows the two's final acceptance of one another. When they come together at the duel and the battle, I don't feel or believe in the respect that they now have for one another. The other instance is Peter and Caspian's first meeting. Caspian doesn't really have respect for the High King as he should- as noted in the lines about swords (Peter: Well, it's nice to see at least one of you can handle a blade". With Caspian's response of "Well, then you'll probably be wanting your's back"). It's all down hill from there.

hmmm, well this was not my fave movie but OK here I go
Worst:
(1) Ugh! Peter drove me nuts! I thought that when they came back to Narnia, they were supposed to act like Kings and Queens not-
how do I put this?- Immature, selfish, and jelous
(2) Susan and Caspian! ugh! I nearly banged my head up aganst a wall!
even in Narina, HollyWood can't make a movie without romance!
(3) The battle near the end Narnia Vs. Telmar. Awful! (I laughed when I saw the Telmarines head gear though, metal eyebrows! hehehehehe! )
I am not very happy with the movie, when I first saw it I complained the whole time!
Best:
(1) Lucy's dream, abousolutely magical!
(2) when the children go to the chamber
(3) the night battle
