Of all the songs in Prince Caspian, I like This is Home by Swtchfoot the best, but I also really like The Call by Regina Spector. What's your favorite song from Prince Caspian or any other Narnia film?
I like This Is Home (the Soundtrack CD version, not the version in the movie), and have long loved "No Need to Say Goodbye" (I can't remember its actual name, so will have to edit later).
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
My favorite hands down is "This is Home." This is the only credits song from all three movies that has stuck with me over the years.
"A Dance 'Round the Memory Tree" by Oren Lavie was the only end credits song I enjoyed. In fact, I liked it so much that I later got his album. It has a reflective sound I think, and the lyrics speak of the past and wanting to return to those simpler times. "Winters have come and gone, you know. But I'll meet you young and free for a dance 'round the memory tree." It's a good fit for the themes in the book, I think.
Mary Jane: You know, you're taller than you look.
Peter: I hunch.
Mary Jane: Don't.
The Call is my absolute favourite. That and This is Home are really the only credit songs I actually listen to.
"Tollers, there is too little of what we really like in stories. I am afraid we shall have to try and write some ourselves." - C.S. Lewis
My favorite is also "This is Home." It, "Wunderkind," and "There's a place for us" are my favorite Narnia songs.
"This Is Home" by Switchfoot (the soundtrack version, not the one from the credits) and "The Call" by Regina Spektor
