I think it helps show the passage of time and the maturing of Caspian as a character...it also gives him a fresh look...I like it!

Ditto! ;) I definitely agree. I voted that I like it, because I think it helps show that he is not the same naive prince from PC. I think I might've done a double take the first time I saw it :-o but it has grown on me (not literally. no pun intended :p ).

I voted I like it because it makes him look how I pictured Caspian as king when I first read the book!

I like it... a lot. I think it helps make him look older and more kingly, the only reason why I didn't pick I love it is because, it makes him look older than three years, more like five. But who knows, maybe on film it will look more like three.

I voted 'I don't like it' because it just looks weird. I don't really like the scruffy appearance of his long hair and beard, either. I liked it PC length. But, I agree with the question of maturity; he does need to look a bit older, but not too much. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Caspian was only about sixteen in the book, right? So maybe just some stubble, or whatever.

In the book he's like seventeen I think, but all the Pevensies were older in LWW so they had to make Caspian older for PC and now he'll have to be older for VDT (based on the movies ages I think he should be in his very early 20's)

In other words you're right about the book, but they have to scale up everyones age by a few years for the films.

^^ they had to scale everyone's ages up because the actors got older! :D
so they really had no choice.....

I actually love it. It shows how much he is growing up and Ben Barnes does not look awful with a beard. I think it may work on film and I like for the fact for once that Ben is in a movie where the crew are not focusing on making him too perfect or a heartthrob.

I like the beard; it makes him look kingly and not like a prettyboy

I think that since they were trying to make Ben look younger in PC, that they are trying to make him look older and ore kingly.....I think he lloks more kingly in a beard! :D

I don't exactly love his beard, but I think it's a good addition to his appearance as a way to make him look more like a king. Honestly, it actually looks pretty good.

I voted 'it's okay'. I think it does help him seem more mature, although I'm waiting to see how it will look in the movie.

I find it hilarious that the beard has a poll at all, like it's taken on a life of its own.

I voted love it.

Yeah it is just hair and it was a kingly style back in those days. It'll look fine and it's Ben Barnes

:p

I will say that his look is very diverse that if he had short, medium, long hair without or with beard it looks good. That's just my opinion on Ben. Yes the beard will look good in the movie. ;)
