[Closed] Anyone think this scene was moved?

In the film when sailing toward's Ramandu's Island, Lucy smiles at a water nymph and the nymph shakes her head and warns Lucy not to come.

There was no danger on Ramandu's Island and I thought it made no sense. My guess is that this particular scene was suppossed to take place earlier in the movie.

I think when Lucy waves at the water nymphs for the first time (before they reach the Lone Islands), this scene was suppossed to take place and the Water Nymph would be warning Lucy about staying away from the Lone Islands (cause of the danger there).

I have no idea why they would change the location of this scene other then trying to add some suspense later on in the movie.

Wait a minute. The water nymph warns them just before the wind dies. And Drinian notes that something could not want them there. I would attach the warning to the dead wind and such not Ramandu's Island.

While you may be right, I still think the scene was part of the prelude to the Lone Islands. Something just felt off about it the way it was in the movie.

Fledge is right, that scene occurs just before the wind dies. I think it's in the right spot, but even if it isn't it can't be before the Lone Islands because Lucy is in a different spot on the ship.

Yeah, although it doesn't make too much sense to me, I think it is in the right spot...

I don't know.....it could have been just that the water nymph was warning her of things farther east.....?

Could be. I thought it was a nice touch using it for the Dark Island though.

I also was surprised at it's placement. I have no theories, however, as to why it was there... it just seemed to disrupt the flow a little.

It was a little weird, but I think it was in the right place...

I think that's kind of the way to sum this episode up... It didn't make too much sense, and it felt really awkward and out-of-place to most people.

That scene feels like a total loose end. Nothing bad happens except the wind dying. And that seems like a very odd thing for a water-nymph to frantically warn you about...
