There's also anime, but I can't imagine Narnia working well with anime.
Agreed there. It'd be a bit too much culture clash for me.
See, my problem with the 3-D super realistic animation is that if they are aiming for that degree of realism, they might as well just make in Live Action... it'd probably save them money in the end anyways. Furthermore we see 3-D animation all the time now days. I honestly can't even remember when the last 2-D movie came out. It'd be nice to see something different. If they used 3-D they'd have to figure out a really big way to make it unique I think, maybe in the landscapes? Otherwise I don't see the point.

...I don't think I could watch an anime Narnia film. Might even go so far as to boycott it. I don't like that style of animation at all--I have tried, but even when the story is enjoyable I just can't seem to get over the stylization... *shrugs* I could live with a Tintin style animation, I think.
Again, if it's going to be animation, I'm rooting for Pixar in that department. But, I doubt they'd want to lay down that much time in one series (Pixar has been stand-alone or, at best, prequel/sequels of past original films).
No anime please. But it's still an interesting idea. Culture clash might be putting it mildly though, Wolf
A 2-D animated Narnia film? I like the sound of that. Of course, they did it with The Hobbit way back when (I did enjoy that production)... could it work for Narnia? I say yes, but I may be in the minority.
EDIT: For what it's worth, I just saw that the 1977 animated version of The Hobbit was animated by a Japanese company. Hmmmm....

AROOOOOOO!!!
I voted that any future Narnia movies would continue with live action and only use animation when necessary. I feel that an animated movie makes a story seem juvenile, and, as we all know, and as the NarniaWeb forum itself testifies to, the Chronicles are not only enjoyed by children, but adults as well. To quote C. S. Lewis, "A children's story which is enjoyed only by children is a bad children's story." Yes, the Chronicles were written for children, but many adults like them too, and I feel that live action versions of the books would do more justice to that fact than animated versions.

I don't think any animation is necessary.

i think that kind is pretty realistic.

Harrison ford said: "I'd hate to see it reduced in any way from the movies that we have done and the way we have done them" he was talking about Indiana Jones and I think this applies to the Narnia films well if you are going to do a 4th then do it right or not at all.
the only way I would let them is If they did a reboot on Narnia, which I highly doubt.
The Hobbit in theaters: 14 December 2012
Well. that's a big question. I like animation and stuff like that, the 1979 Narnia was awesome and cute, but we're gonna go all through it and most of us will still remember the old movies even if the outside audience forgets them. That's going to be a big disappointment. So I vote live action. The latest three movies were very family-oriented but I think it's all about the fact that they don't look like it, so... half by half would be the best solution.
Lucy:Do you remember who really defeated the White Witch?
Peter: Yes.
Susan:No.
Lucy:Do you both believe in Narnia?
Narnians, Caspian and Edmund:We believe.
Susan and Peter:Shut up.
I think it would be awfully strange to switch to animation halfway through the current series. If they were to do a reboot, I think realistic animation like in Polar Express or Brave might work nicely. That being said, I would definitely prefer live action. I love how the current series uses a lot of real world filming locations vs. green screen. It makes Narnia seem closer to a real place. I can't stand when a movie relies completely on CGI environments like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
