When I listen to the Youtube video of the dragon attack, I think I hear the director say about the dragon, "He's been shot". Can anyone else hear this?
One of them, not knowing it was Eustace, might have shot him down. If so, how do you think that will play out in the movie, considering it's a new twist which was not in the book? Do you think he will be at all injured, or will the arrow just bounce off? If he's injured, how badly, and how is he healed? Lucy's healing potion? Aslan? Something else?
What does everyone think?
I don't exactly remember them talking about Eustace being shot, but I remember them saying that he was on the mast, and then fell down. I assumed he fell into the ocean, but then got up, and they said that he then flew away. I think that if he is shot, it will be by a single arrow from a cross-bow and his dragon-scale will prevent the arrow from creating a deep would. At this point, he will probably fly away to a safe, alcove with a calm pool of water, where he will meet Aslan, and be "undragoned".

I'd agree with Trufflehunter, except that I would have him undragoned later and the others do find out what happened to him before that.

Yeah, Dinode, I'd rather have Eustace get undragoned later, but I agree with what Trufflehunter said.
The picture now in my mind is that Eustace flies back to the island after getting wounded, and realizes that the crew's apparently afraid of dragons . For some reason (maybe spotting the arm ring), the crew follows him and find him on the beach. Finally, the scene in the book happens when they discover the arm ring, and learn that Eustace is the dragon. Hopefully, it might play out like that in the movie! I'm so excited for this scene!
Exactly Shastafan. My sentiments exactly.

Yep, there was talk about the "He's been shot" line when that video first showed up on the internet. I assume that this is just after Eustace became a dragon. He flies to the Dawn Treader, probably trying to get help, but the crew thinks he's coming to attack and shoots at him. I can't see the arrow inflicting a very deep wound, but it probably finds a spot between two scales. Then he flies off, back towards the island.

I think it's fairly clear that Eustace will stay a dragon longer than he did in the book. This might not be a negative change, however. I think that it is easier to show that Eustace has learned humility in the film by having him staying a dragon for longer, and having to live on his own for a while. This way, he will truly be joyful when he is reunited with the crew!
