Someone on IMDB posted a few weeks back about a potential preview screening happening in Aliso Viejo, California, on August 21st, but there was no way to verify the story either way, and nothing ever really came of it news-wise:

Was there actually a screening? I think we would have heard something.

I know that they showed the Super Trailers and such at Biola, but for some reason I thought I remembered hearing about a test screening. I could, however, be mistaken.

I seriously hope that they have a screening very soon. I want some spoilers already!

They had the Harry Potter test screening just a couple weeks ago, so it is about time for a VotDT test screening.

Maybe they already had but people are not coming out about it or it might have been a very strict screening where they told people not to give anything away on the internet. Those people at screenings will get your information sometimes when at the end they hand you this paper to sign.

But they don't want any fast writers to give a whole transcript. I can usually completely memorize a movie in just a few views, and I imagine there are others who are better at it than me. The film makers know this, so they make sure that the people watching don't give away too much.

I can tell you the entire storyline of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. I really don't think that they actually do that. It would be impossible to enforce and i am not sure they can have you sign after you saw the film. I would just say no what are they going to do tell you that you can't leave.

But they could make you sign before the movie.

^No actually I went to my first movie screening this summer and usually the paper you sign is given after the movie and there's questions on it front and back asking if something was done right, what were your favorite scenes, etc all about the movie. But there was no word about keeping everthing in the movie secret, they wanted me to recommend to my friends so IDk, we should have heard something by now.
