At this link you can see 5 new VDT clips http://www.aslanscountry.com/2010/11/fi ... der-clips/, I think the End of the World clip is as good as they could possibly make it
The bedroom clip is really good to, I like it better than if they had just fallen through the picture.
The DI clip is a bit cheesy but not horrible.
The "Belief" clip is pretty good but I don't like how Lucy doesn't know that Aslan has a country.
The last one is nothing spectacular, but it does show a bit of Gael dialogue, which I was wanting to see.
And I am now a JUNKIE!!!!
I picked the there I have another name, but its really tied with the Reep one with his song, both wre so important and they got it.
"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
I chose the "There I have another name" clip, because it was really emotional and bittersweet. It nearly brought me to tears!
I'd rather not have to post all of what I think, so here's what I said in another area:
All five clips were fantastic! The first one with Aslan saying he has another name was so emotional! I didn't cry watching, but it was very heart-warming and heart-braking at the same time! I think what made it especially great was that BOTH Lucy and Edmund were emotional themselves. Edmund being emotional was a shocker to me(him being the steady person in PC), but him and Lucy on the verge of tears made me feel for them a lot. Aslan's lines also seem very close(if not exactly) to the book, and all who said this scene would be very emotional were right!
We've already seen Clip #2(which I love ). Clip #3 was quite odd, and Coriakin's dialouge was really strange. But besides the whole Dark Island plot, it wasn't as bad as I thought(for now... ). The map was spectacular, and Eustace's line about the map made me laugh, especially when Lucy and Edmund stared at him! Not bad yet, but I guess I'll have to wait and see...
#4 was awesome! The song that Reepicheep had heard from the nypmh was there, which I'm glad to see and know! And the whole conversation between Lucy and Reepicheep, in my opinion, shows much of Reep's longing for the Utter East! Thank goodness they kept that!
#5 felt slighty weird, too, probably just because this is our first real scene showing interaction between Lucy and Gael. I like the message that's there(besides the DK plot ), and I think Gael will end up being a cool character, although I hope she isn't always as depressed like this, because it's sad!
In conclusion, there's only one way to wrap this up: Hooray for the ride of insanity and spoilers!
The new shots of Reep were also extremely awesome, and I just know I'll love him as much as I did in PC!
All that we're seeing is magnificent, and now I'm just welling up with excitement for VDT!
Clip 1 was by far the best... the dialogue is almost exactly like the book!
I almost voted clip 3, because the effects/affects/bleh were fantastic, and I LOVED Eustace's line. But Corakin's lines were just too cheesy, so that brought it down a notch.
Georgie's acting was interesting in clip 4... is it just me, or when Reep says 'we have nothing if not belief', does she look guilty? And does it mean anything that she doesn't say otherwise when Gael says Aslan couldn't stop her mother from being kidnapped?
Overall, it was great. Seems to stick to the feel of the book quite well.
Yea I really liked Eustace's line, that was hilarious
I did notice how Lucy looked a little downcast when Reepicheep said his line, maybe she felt foolish for asking such a question.
I loved clip #1, "There I have another name", and I mean that literally. I actually started crying. Over a clip! And I hardly ever cry anyway! It was just... exactly the way it should be. If nothing else, at least the filmmakers got that right.
I voted #1 as well, it was as perfect as it could be.
#2 was also great, and almost as close to the books as the first.
I really liked the map and Eustace's line in #3, if only they weren't talking about Dark Island.
Everything Reepicheep does in #4 is perfect, but I have slight concerns regarding Lucy's behavior. EDIT: Okay, I'm also not too keen on Reepicheep hoping to "earn" the right to go to Aslan's country, he ought to know that's not the sort of thing you can earn.
Gael, I imagine the reason Aslan let them be taken is for the same reason he let Narnia be conquered by the Telmarines. Lucy didn't have an answer here, but someone better give an answer later in the film.

I'm not going to watch all of them; I've only seen "Transition to Narnia", "We have nothing if not belief" and "You'll see her again". Of these my favorite was the Transition. It's beautiful!
@ Dinode, I agree with your worry about Reepicheep "Earning" the right to see Aslan's Country. That line was rather unsettling.

I don't think it was unsettling at all. Reepicheep never struck me as a person to assume that a gift should be given to him like a birthday present. For the sake of his honor and all.
Perhaps Reep has a bit of a character arc where he has to learn that Aslan's Country cannot be earned… No clue.
I like them all! Those five minutes of clips had so much more character interaction and depth to them than all of PC combined, I thought. I cannot wait to see the whole thing!
I only watched the "Transition into Narnia" and the "We have nothing if not belief." I think Lucy of all people should be the one with great faith. And why do you have a problem with Aslan's Country being earned?
Aslan's country is basically heaven, so a Narnian character's earning his way there goes against all the teaching these books are based on. Just like no one can possibly earn his or her way to heaven, no one would be able to deserve/earn the right to get to Aslan's country. It's only by the undeserved kindness of Aslan that Reepicheep would get there.

Well, there are definitely works needed, just belief would not get you any where. Tis a fine line.
This is the only place I can think of at the moment where the topic of getting to Aslan's country is addressed. In The Last Battle, it is the creatures' response to Aslan that determines whether they go into Aslan's country or away into His shadow. I guess that you could say that responding to Aslan with love is a work, but I wouldn't. I'd argue that it's only through Aslan that anyone has any chance of getting to His country. No works but His are good enough.
So, to relate back to the topic at hand, that's why it bothers me, too, to think of Reepicheep's earning his way to Aslan's country or being noble enough that he deserves it.
